Find a ranking of states for quality of life. Compare the ranking of Minnesota vs Louisiana.
By whatever metric -- economy, crime, education, health care, infrastructure -- Minnesota is ahead of Louisiana.
Unfortunately, Louisiana is at or near the bottom.

I don't know but I'll take a guess and then look it up. Under some administration, we decided to give Somalians either asylum or refugee status. And then came the political decision and that was the government working with the state of Minnesota took them in, in large number. And then Somalians here and there decided to work that system to bring in more and more. And the decision Somalians and the state was to let them settle in almost totality in Minneapolis. The Somalians are smart enough to know if they stuck together in one place they wouldn't have to fully assimilate and they would eventually achieve political power. And they chose a mouthpiece to represent them.
I think we are finding out in Texas that that same government settled many muslims in Texas. They now want their own communities with their own laws with an eventual reward of an elected representative to congress.
It's not going to end.

No peoples naturally hate themselves. They have to be taught to. Somewhere along the way, Germanic peoples were taught that their very bloodlines are evil. Southern Europeans don't teach their kids this.

I think the angle was more about being left wing than it was self hatred. You are right that Russia was colonized by Scandinavians - and Russia are extreme socialists. Sweden, Denmark and Norway are all socialist leaning, with Sweden having nationalized industries in the 70’s (and had to retreat in the 90’s). So Scandinavians tend to be lefties, hence Minnesota are lefties.
