How did Biden survive the Dem debates?

Has the dementia progressed that far in that short of a time? Did the moderators give him the questions or treat him with kid gloves? I'm not going to say he did well in the debates, but he wasn't Dementia Joe up there.
The GOP is setting the bar way too low. He shows up, which is questionable, he clears the bar. Bad politics there.

Biden did well during the Dem debates (thus the drugs accusation). He got hit hard as the front runner and came out well.
I’ve been saying for months that lowering Biden expectations is a mistake.

I watched a few of these. Biden didn't have to say much and kind of flew under the radar. Other people were fighting for airtime and attention and were trying to be heard.

Plus, even in his limited speaking time, he did so f*cking bad that even Saturday Night F*cking Live mocked him and made fun of him. I think SNL was pretty damn sure that Biden wasn’t going to be the nominee at the time, otherwise they wouldn't have mocked him as much as they did. I guarantee you that they are going to be a lot “kinder" to Dementia Joe when they come back.

He did a lot of what he is doing now. The only real candidate to beat was Sanders. No one else had a legit chance and Bernie is really out there...so Biden could lay low. He worked (aka the dem party came out and worked) when things didn't get off to the start for Joe) but in reality...it was never going to be anyone but the former VP of Barack Obama.
