Canada has 277 deaths / Mexico 91

How in the world can this be explained?...The US is sandwiched in between these 2 Countries and we have the highest rates in the World..

Canada is a very small country population wise.

Mexico is just getting started. It will get bad there.

Viruses cannot thrive in hot temps and humidity. What are the numbers for all countries south of us?

I don't know about Canada. According to several folks involved in business and medicine in Mexico, the Mexican authorities are simply not reporting cases. They are apparently doing little or no social distancing, shut downs, etc. Obvious covid-19 hospitializations/deaths go undiagnosed if they are untested. Tests are rare.

Mexico's nCFR is nearly twice that of tbe US. I don't think you know what you are taking about.

I realize hawaii isn’t a separate country. But we are doing very good. Weather has been warm the past week or so. At the very beginning it was raining and cold so I thought it would be worse. But I think we have less than ten deaths right now. Also Hawaii was behind california restriction rules by about three or four days, combine that with LAX shutting down their travel here. I’d say about 70% of people wearing masks right now even though it hasn’t been officially implemented.

ETA: im bringing this up because we are pretty far south in warm climate

How long does it take to start?

It’s been in the US since February (maybe even earlier). We just crossed the 10k number for deaths.

Mexico has regular interaction with the US and has 91 deaths total.
