How bad would the optics be for Dems choosing a white man as a replacement over Kamala?

If Joe drops out would that even matter? Just funny the party that is supposed to hate the white males and all of their privilege would choose Newsome over a black female who was good enough to be their VP for 4 years.

Think it all depended on how much Kamala played ball. If she was content to get a godfather deal and be reeled in without fighting back I don’t think it’d be a big deal at all.
Now if she wanted to fight back and make a big deal out of it, it may gain a bit of traction but let’s be real, she’s largely been hidden for 3 years. It’s not like she has a ton of clout or public awareness.

The optics aren’t reported by the media, they are defined by the media. They made 85% of the population believe that shots prevent infection during a period in which everyone who got the shots later got infected.
They can make their party members believe that it’s for the best, and give Harris the choice between bitching about it to no avail, or going quietly with a 10 million dollar check in hand. They don’t give two schitts about how conservatives view “the optics”

It’s that it’s all theater and the Republicans are just playing the “opposition”. They aren’t really trying to win.

What choice do they have at this point? His own Media is burying him. I really have no clue what will happen in the next few months. One thing will happen, 1. They Democrats will support Biden (Damage is done with him), or they pull in a new candidate. Kamala can't get the vote that Joe could get. Something will happen bigly between now and August.
