A friend of mine brought up an interesting point today. His point is essentially that these riots, and the media discussion surrounding them, is actually adversing impacting trump support from voters you thought would vote for him.

Your friend sounds dumb.

That's a dumb place to look.

I tend to give some credence to the idea that some folks who voted for him in 2016 are changing their mind based off of this incident (his "lack of response", his "over response", his "racism", etc.).

That's not happening.

They may not vote Biden, but they may move to the independent (however ridiculous of a candidate that may be).

Trump will gain far more voters than he loses. The year 2020 has been one big insane Hail Mary fest to try and beat him. It's not working but it is opening many eyes to the insanity of the left.

Most of Trump's policies are straight up 80s-90s democrat. But the democrats have moved so far left they don't even recognize them.

You have to be careful with this. My Twitter feed was FULL of Elizabeth Warren supporters for months. Chock full. If you read my feed, you (and I was!) thinking... man Warrne is going to clean house in the primary. Simply did not happen. Social media is a stroooong echo chamber and biased selection.

I’ve unfriended about 30 people already based on their BS. Quickly realized that putting politics on artistry is no muy bueno for me. They have a blackout Tuesday or something retarded going on.

Just think, these people are rioting and putting up these black screens for a convicted felon who also happens to be a woman beater. Let that f’ing sink in.

Agreed.

I'm not saying Trump will take NY, but he will pick a lot more votes there, than he did in 2016. Trump is going to pick up a ton more of the black vote in 2016, also.

I have not heard from one person who voted for Trump in 2016, than does not think he has done a tremendous job. They all see the Dems for what they are, and are more resolute now than they were then. In fact, we have had a couple of members of this forum, who are self-avowed libs, that are looking for a coat.

The ones going to suffer are down ballot Democrats. They have been attached to this as the ones who made this environment possible.

You'd think after 2016 the Twitter people would realize that they are not in the majority

Trump on coronavirus hurt himself. 100k deaths and shutdowns are big negatives. I would argue the CDC was the biggest problem.

Trump on riots is not hurting himself. His supporters see democrats being violent nationwide and democratic leaders basically saying we deserve it. That will not play well with Trump supporters.

Trump needs to safely land the plane on these issues and gain some momentum back before October.

Democrats of course want chaos. And anybody but Trump at all costs.

The only reason people did that black out this on Instagram is because they are afraid of being labeled a realist - I know a few that did it so they wouldn’t lose work. They are still voting for trump

See I'm of the thinking that the left has determined that this is not going to be the blow to Trump's reelection chances that they hoped it would be. The left and MSM would be figuring out how to downplay the riots to free themselves up enough to continue to hammer on coronavirus if it were that good of a weapon against Trump. I believe they're very willfully steering the conversation away from it.

Perhaps they're also willingly steering it away from CV because they were about to be exposed in their efforts to weaponize the pandemic.

I've thought about this and the reverse and my response will be the same. I'm going to early vote and then stay drunk until a month after the election. I will then sober up and decide whether or not I need to start drinking again.

There will probably be a few boogaloo types running around when Trump gets crushed, but they’ll get fricked up pretty quick. The rest of the country will be glad to have an adult in charge so they can get back to making bank.
