Off the top of my head, I don’t know what we could do to deter Tehran.
We gave Israel a blank check, and this is the blowback. And this is admittedly a clever asymmetric response from the Iranians. But it puts us in a difficult situation, because airstrikes won’t be effective. But doing nothing makes us look weak, and we can’t accept the economic damage from closing the straight.
We could respond by stirring up trouble in Iran, there was the recent “Isis” bombing, but I don’t think we can cause enough pain to make them step back.
My solution is ending the conflict in Gaza.

By China, I think you mean Iran, the patron of the Houthi.

Naw, fam. We just need some good old fashioned nation building!

I haven't heard what the result was versus what the various countries involved were trying to achieve. Have you?
Doubling down and pretending that you think it’s even possible that random, irregular air strikes will solve this problem is just incredible.

Glad you were not around to comment on D Day. What a failure that first day would have been to you.
Why? The Allies established a beachhead on DDay. Not sure how’d you compare that to this.
Besides, why would you even bring up DDay in a thread about tossing some political missiles into Yemen so that we could tell the Washington Post and the BBC that we are “doing something”?

There is nothing we can do, which makes our stupid attempts to make them like us even more nonsensical. They are taking guidance from Beijing and Moscow.

Are you one of those really dumb Americans who think the US can just “end” that conflict?

It would be like going to war against Appalachia

Step on Jerusalems neck, instruct them to end combat operations.

Bombing them
Should do carpet bombing similar to WW2. Would work.

Not very effective. You need surgical strikes here. As for Iran, have no doubt the CIA is working behind the scenes.

So do we just do nothing and let the attacks continue?
Yes, this attack on trade is an attack on trade between Europe and Asia. Once again, it's not our fight but theirs and they are happy to let us do their work and go broke.

It's still not our problem to fix EU fed boy. That trade interruption is Europe and Asia's problem.

Isn't it weird how nobody knows what ships were attacked and what the damages were and yet we are trusting the media enough to go to war over it?
This! Well said.
This is all a false flag designed to push into supporting a war. For about three weeks, there have been whispers of a false flag involving US ships and allowing our men to be killed; just as an excuse to enter into war.
