Hours after the US & UK destroyed 70+ targets in Yemen with over 100 missiles raining down, the Houthis have attacked again.
UK is reporting an incident (their code word for attack) in the Sea of Aden, roughly 90nm South of the Yemeni Coast.

I don’t think we’ll be able to stop the Houthi from launching these attacks.

The Houthis have been fighting a war with Saudi Arabia for like a decade. Bombing them isn't going to work.
What moron at the Pentagon thought launching missiles at them was going to do a single fricking thing?

They can launch missiles and UAVs from the coastline. If they chose to attack with boats, they could use any sort of fast civilian craft.

Damn. Sounds like a bad strike. They hit nothing and blew nothing or no one up. Thanks for the intel.

Do you somehow still believe that playing whack-a-mole in the Middle East is an effective strategy? After the last three decades?
Every piece of equipment we target will be replaced by Iran, and every Houthi we kill with these strikes will add multiple new members to their ranks.

And getting us to waste million dollar missiles on shooting down their cheap rockets. By the time something with Russia or China does go down, we're going to be out of ammo. The Suez, Red Sea, Gulf of Aden issue should be addressed by Europe and Asia. It's THEIR economies that are dependent upon those waterways, not ours.

There are 6,000 Marines offshore right now .......Don't think for a moment that Biden will not put boots on the ground, if he thinks it will increase his percentages ...
There is a reason they pulled the Gerald Ford task force and replaced it with the USS Bataan task force ......

Right.
Highly effective airstrikes. I'm sure the Houthi's will stop now.

Ford was due back home months ago. Its deployment has been being extended since August. Probably had more to do with it than anything else.

Right. We should just pay the Danegeld they demand and be done with it. That’ll mollify them.

I haven't heard what the result was versus what the various countries involved were trying to achieve. Have you? Did they tell you and no one else that this one night of bombing was going to end all conflict in the area?
Glad you were not around to comment on D Day. What a failure that first day would have been to you.

So the US Navy is no longer able to keep sea lanes open. And it was Yemen that brought them to their knees.

Tough when you have terrorist elements leading or are sympathetic to the terrorists in the White House and Military who are giving the enemy a heads up well in advance of the military strike.
