Awesome!! That’s AMAZING!! But, can we get this immigration package WITHOUT 5 Trillion in additional spending? You know, it’s really not too much to ask, given that “conservatives” have the House, Senate, White House.
Of course. No problem fixing 12 years of purposeful destruction of this country for free. We’ll just pick the money trees to get it done.

Good luck picking your own produce. Sorry no sorry. I’d rather pay more for American workers than watch people like you import slave workers from 3rd world shitholes.

Where’s the money for the big beautiful wall?

Mexico is paying for the wall, correct?

They are paying for it with their tariffs

Really? Can you cite the allocation of tariff money from Mexico to wall construction?

The “muh trillions to national debt” is CBO juking the stats as related to the “tax cuts” which are already baked into the economy. That money isn’t actually being “spent” because it was never collected in the first place. It is a shell game Congress plays to make their “budgets” appear clean or dirty depending on if Trump is in the White House
They know this to be true, but "trillions in spending" is the only argument they have to thwart the America First agenda and soothe their achy TDS. So they will continue to lie and make themselves look like fools. Trump has repeatedly beaten "conservatives" and proved them wrong, so now they are desperate for anything they can throw at MAGA in a vain attempt to save face.
It's really sad how weak-minded conservatives have become.

Why is it wrong to have foreign workers do jobs that Americans won’t do?
Why is it wrong to pay less for workers who are willing to work for less?
How does that hurt you?
Guessing you support an increase in the minimum wage….

It’s going to add a massive amount to the debt, so there’s that…

It’s not if they are here on a work visa. You should do that instead of using illegal aliens. How do you know Americans won’t do a job if the pay is fair? You’ve used slave labor for so long, you don’t know what a fair wage looks like

If they are here illegally, they undercut the local labor force’s wages.

It doesn’t since I’m a highly paid white collar worker. That being said, I have empathy for my fellow countrymen who can’t get work because slave owners employ illegal aliens. This forces more Americans on welfare which I am vehemently against.

Harr darr, muh minimum wage.
Posted on 7/3/25 at 9:27 am to HailHailtoMichigan!
That’s just so much money that I don’t think is really needed because this administration already proved that the border can—and has effectively been—closed with resources already available. I won’t weep over it because some overreaction was inevitable due to the abject failure of the Biden administration, but I can see better uses for a lot of this money, especially in the US Navy where we are way behind where should be with subs and ships.

lol
Go look at what’s required to get a work visa. It’s a bunch of BS. I would have to pay more than the minimum wage, house the worker, prove that I tried to hire local workers, and then pay employment taxes on the wages!
No friggin way.
The work visa program is part of the problem- not the answer

Nothing wrong with it. It has been happening for 50 years.
It was happening via a green card program of workers invited in to work, earn, then go home, rather than some guy who crossed illegally with two Abuelas, a wife, a girlfriend, and seven kids who expects ME to work three jobs to cover those people

I mean, admitting you want to exploit workers and commit tax evasion is certainly one way to go.
The ag worker visa program is not the problem, addiction to slave labor is. Those are very reasonable requirements. There is an enforcement problem though and smaller operations are at a disadvantage compared to large ag producers due to economies of scale. That can be adjusted for, the solution is not to just scrap the whole thing and hire illegals in a mad race to the bottom.
Posted on 7/3/25 at 12:30 pm to SlidellCajun
Somehow these jobs got done before illegals flooded our country.
