Honestly, did you ever think you would see a 3.5% unemployment rate?

brilliant really

Sell "new normal" really hard.
Sandbag for 8 years faking the worst recovery in 70 years.

Set in place a ticking explosion of prosperity to go off 2 and a half years after you leave.

Since they've changed how it's measured I wonder what it would be if counted as it was during the 1980s.

I am sure if it would be higher there would be an article on CNN about it.

I think it will stay below 3% if Trump keeps it up.

You all are fools if you think the unemployment rate being this low automatically equates to high paying jobs. Having a job and having a job with a living wage is entirely two different things. We need to stop paying attention to the raw employment rate. People working two or three jobs to survive skews that number greatly. Rumor has it there is a statistic on jobs that pay a liveable wage. That is the number that we need to see. And since some insist healthcare should only be provided via employment we need to see how many jobs provide real health benefits. The very recognizable corporations providing healthcare with a $6,000 deductible do not count on that score.

This is one of the reasons the liberals are in such a snit. They don't have any excuse to freeload off of people and it's pissing them off royally.

I agree with your premise, but not your insinuation. This has always been the case that the economy will have a certain percentage of jobs paying less than a living wage. Unless you can show me that that percentage has increased during the Trump years, then a 3.5% rate is vastly superior to what he inherited. Trying to make this argument to downplay the improvements under Trump is as foolish as making the argument that a greater number of jobs were added in Obama's first years. Of course there were, the economy was recovering from a devastating recession. It is easier to add jobs in that situation than it is to add them at full employment.

If only we could go back to the Obama years. You know, when wages were lower and unemployment was massively higher. Somebody needs to turn this country around!

Making a "livable wage" is up to the individual. If you are not happy with your wage IMPROVE YOUR MOTHERFRICKEN SKILLS. It is not up to GOVT to hand out high paying jobs...it is more the GOVT's responsibility to get OUT OF THE WAY. Reduce burdens on small business, reduce taxes, reduce regulations which is what Trump has done.
