Home Foreclosures going up in Texas

On a scale of 1 to Michael Bury's glass eye, how close are we to 2008? Will the Fed ever lower for the rest of Trump's term?

This is what happens when y’all complain about h1bs. Their feelings get hurt and they go back home and then their houses get foreclosed

Purchased homes in Collin County have almost completely ground to a halt since June. H1Bs were driving a majority of the sales here.

I'm not sure why you think that has any impact on foreclosures

All of those H1B "businesses" that were ran out of someone's 800K home in Frisco had to go out of business when the $$$ dried up when restrictions were put on H1Bs and USAID was slashed..

I just can’t imagine lenders making those loans. It’s like Tricolor, which had as its business model making auto loans to illegals. It was fun until they started leaving and driving the collateral over the border.

In northeast DFW If you put a home up for sale seven years ago you would have 40-50 people a day visiting, some were getting 100 walkthroughs on a single Saturday .

Today Zillow shows 450 for sale just in our community.

It seems to me that Trump just solved the housing shortage. You must be furious about that.

also from THAT SAME ARTICLE:

Rob Barber, CEO of ATTOM – a leading provider of property data, AI-powered intelligence and real estate analytics solutions – said: "August's data shows that foreclosure activity continues to trend above year-ago levels, particularly in completed foreclosures, which saw a notable annual increase.

"While some homeowners are still facing financial challenges, overall foreclosure volumes remain well below historical norms and the broader housing market continues to demonstrate resilience."

They get the houses/land.

Banks seized about 1/3 of the land in America during the Great Depression.

The impact he was alluding to is in the other direction. Increased foreclosures puts more houses on the market and helps alleviate the housing crisis.

Completely different circumstances

2008 was a complete crash 30 years in the making

2026 is a frozen market that will catch some people who have fallen behind, gotten divorced, etc who need a quick sale but have no equity to come down on their asking price

I’d expand that to all of DFW and selling within 48 hrs was normal
