ATTOM is very good but this statement is sort of laughable when you realize that they only started tracking foreclosure data the way they do in 2005 so his historical norms are 21 years worth of data
The other big one, Cotality formerly named CoreLogic, started in 1997 so 29 years of data
Data prior to that is largely estimates

With the 08 crisis within that small sample it makes the statement even more meaningless

I'm sure they'd rather get the money, but it's not extremely high risk when you consider that plus the people that do pay etc.

That's still not all that many. Guy across the street from me was foreclosed on/evicted in September (he moved all of his stuff out prior to the Sheriff showing up.) But, he was Chinese. I'm still waiting for the H1B driven foreclosures to kick off in the rest of Fort Bend county.
