re: Hippies in Oregon want to ban hunting, fishing, and breeding of animals

Who's gonna tell the dipshit vegans that all those organic veggies they eat were fertilized with manure from ... beef and chicken operations!
Farming is really about improving and maintaining healthy soil. It is cost prohibitive and damned near impossible to do that without animal inputs.
Most hippy vegan farmers, and I will admit to knowing a few of them, rely heavily on composted manures, bone meal, blood meal, and other animal inputs to grow their veggies.
You read that right: The damned veggies from vegan farms are not even vegan!

Whoa. Wait a minute… so you want to protect all animals but not all animals? On what ethical grounds do supporters exclude insects?
Disease? Mammals and birds spread disease. Damage to property? Same thing. Level of intelligence? You’re going to convince me that a minnow is somehow more complex than an ant colony?
Hold their feet to the fire. Include the insects or you can pound sand, hypocrites.

Northern Oregon, predominately rural, has BEEN pushing to leave the state & align with Idaho. Can't imagine that this issue won't be ligated by some plaintiffs.

Nothing would make me happier than for Oregon to pass this bill, they deserve everything that happens to them.

I guess these idiots have never heard of over population. There should be limits, but doing away completely is asinine.

Would have interesting implications on the states ability to manage invasive animals such as nutria and feral hogs and feral cats.
I would love to see it as an experiment. The loss of hunting and fishing revenue, impact of invasive species and overpopulation on agriculture would be in the billions.
Around 120k Hunters kill around 60 to 70 k elk each year.

Cant kill the rats....downtown Portland about to be the rebirth of the bubonic plague...

So when the rest of Oregon joins Idaho, Portland will become Oregon

Folks that believe that way should be banned from breeding.

I’m curious to see how the “nobody is trying to take away your guns for hunting” argument evolves after this is passed.

If hunting is not allowed then you don't need a gun

If that passes then I hope the entire meat industry pulls out. No importing meat from animals killed in another state.
