Does she understand that without companies exploring for oil, producing oil, refining oil into gasoline, shipping gasoline to Costco, she wouldn't have any gasoline at all?
And WTF does the "religious right" have to do with high gas prices? Her problem is with the "religious left" who have convinced themselves and her that CO2 is a pollutant*.
This "religious left" has decided that she should buy an electric car. If she believes Robert Reich could pour piss out of a boot with the instructions written on the heel, then she should heed his advice and buy an electric car immediately. Then her problem is solved.
*A reminder - CO2 is NOT a pollutant. It is a trace atmospheric gas REQUIRED for life as we know it to exist on this planet. If anything, a little to little CO2 would be a much bigger problem than a little too much.
