I'm simply pointing out that some are now comfortable admitting they're okay with innocent deaths from gun violence as it's just a price society has to pay for having gun rights. They're basically saying their right to own a gun is more important than another citizen's right to live. Pretty sad thing to admit, but that's where we are.
Then you're simply confused.
Accepting the reality that mentally ill sociopaths exist among us, is not anything like "being O.K." with their violent acts.

Thats just dumb.

Taking direct action to limit efforts for mentally ill sociopaths to have hurdles thrown up before they can commit their violent acts is, though.
You've chosen to accept a certain level of dead Americans to soothe your fetish. Sad.

Not really.
You're comparing a physical object...a gun..with possible psychological motivators.
There’s a psychological component to physical things, including guns and video games. You’re trying to make a distinction that doesn’t exist.
Blaming a video game or a news report is barking up the same tree as blaming a gun

Prayers for those poor children and all impacted by the shooting. I especially pray for parents, loved ones and friends of the deceased and wounded. Can't even begin to imagine what they're dealing with right now. The loss of a child is THE MOST traumatic experience a parent can go through. This is just awful.
May God grant them eternal rest, and may the souls of the departed rest in the arms of the angels.

So it sounds like we should pray for social media servers to go down to solve this problem?
you have a strange way of thinking, and not in a good way

Like informing the FBI of the actions and threats of a kid in Parkland, FL only to have those red flags ignored?

What are you trying to say..that guns are brought in from areas with less restrictive gun laws?? If so, that makes no sense. Why don't those areas with less restrictive gun laws have higher gun crimes, if availability is the issue?

That is dishonest and crude even for you.

Ah yes, the "video games are desensitizing our youth" argument that's been going on for 25 years despite there being zero evidence

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying, because that is exactly what is happening.

How many school shootings were there exactly before the shooter games came out? I mean PONG on the old Atari system was about the most violent game I can remember as a kid.

And exactly what gun laws will keep this from happening?

Not sure why you're asking me this as I haven't argued for any gun laws.

There is no way to quantify that...it's a ridiculous argument to make and unnecessary.
Didn't Obamas CDC report show that guns are used in at least 2,000,000 defensive situations every year? How many unjustified gun deaths are there in the US in a year?

Show me the empirical evidence that proves video games are the cause of school shootings.
How many school shootings have happened before and after the rise of the mainstream use of the internet?

I've said for 30 years that this is the case.
Sorry you're just catching up.
I'm also comfortable with the reality we have car accidents that kill people, and plane crashes and myriad other similar things.
There are benefits that support the cost. Sorry.
