It has been explained to me that there is no "maneuvering" during reentry.
And that plasma phase of reentry is when the missile's mission is most vulnerable. Vulnerable to being hit by a counter strike. And vulnerable to "target disappearance".

Whoever considers using these must seriously consider the possible response.

The DoD says that these things can maneuver during reentry. Chinese made hypersonics specifically.

They actually do have hypersonics. Theres footage from the 12 day war
Missiles have been hypersonic for 80 years.
Its akin to the rage for "steel cut" oats, what do people think they were cut with before, wooden spatulas?
Or "free range" chickens. They are simply yard birds.
"hypersonics" is just a marketing term for the MIC to milk a few more trillion out of an already absurd budget to fight this "new technology".

V1 was like an advanced mortar, V2 did have a guidance system, though not in its final stage.
Its was important enough that Eisenhower said, screw Berlin....go find this Van Braun fella

I’ve been touting our military on here for years. I’ve been telling everyone we are the greatest and it’s not close.
I am constantly met with but China. frick China. We run it.

When do we get portable laser blasters for our Marines?

I just heard yesterday they can send a 1000 pulses per minute

What if you miss and hit another planet?
We’ll claim it originated a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. I’ve seen footage of it back in the 70s. We’ll say we were to be too busy disrupting the sand people for it to be us.

Just imagine if we could get this on a giant ship above the earth. We could melt entire countries who don't bend the knee. Then go in sweep up the cheap glass and make Jesus figures to sell to the fake moralists.

There was a time, not long ago, when we didn’t have these weapons. Now we do.
What’s your point? Not everything is a wackjob conspiracy. I know that’s counter to your worldview.

Easy to flashy lighty a drone made of cheap plastic , light weight materials. Will that work on a shell or incoming missile?

The word "reentry" is probably too broad.
There is no communication system available during plasma phase.
With no communication system, there is no defense or targeting mechanism working. It is a 10 minute blackout for any systems on the missile.

quote:the US had a medium range ballistic missile that had all these capabilities all the way back in 1983, the Pershing ii. Mach 8-10, maneuverable re-entry vehicle, active terminal guidance. We let hippies and the UN pressure us into decommissioning then
Previous ballistic missiles almost all flew at hypersonic speeds during reentry, but flew at a predictable parabolic path.

damn! what would that do to a pilot's eyes??

Saw the vid. Amazing. Imagine the damage laser weapons (DEWs) can do from satellites. OR from drones.
But now I've got a question.
From this naval vessel at sea level, do laser beams curve around the earth to hit their target??

I have a feeling we will see even cooler shite.
Star Trek hand-held Phasers?
"Warp Drive" speed?
"Transporters" into different locations?
"Time" transporters?
Maybe "cool". And some of it could be used for good. But it won't. And isn't if it's main functions are as weaponry.
Like AI, all of this high-tech defies the natural laws of physics. Is this the tech given from inter-dimensional Fallen Angels and demons?

It has been reported that Iran bought 50 CM-302 supersonic anti-ship missiles from China. Iran launched them and they were either neutralized or failed during flight.
