Well considering we have more generals/admirals now per serviceman, in peacetime, than we did during wartime, we can get rid of a few.

Those of us born in a military family understand a story I told after a Marketing babe spoke at a Toastmasters Public Speaking Coarse. VP criticized the Speech. She was extreme Liberal product of an officer in the Air Force.
“Name (me), You are military brat right? Are you liberal?” “My Father worked for a living, he was a Npn Com. Everyone knows when get to Major your IQ drops 30 points.”
“You are divorced, I think you two should try dating.”
“I’m extremely Conservative, she’s extremely liberal, I’d kill her within a week.”

Some of the generals are dumb as hell. Not a Patton amoung the lot.
Remember, Obama fired far more Generals, trying to make the military liberal as hell.

Hegseth is firing people because they are ineffective. He's ridding the upper echelons of the military of those who proved they would rather support using the military as a social experiment than they would risk their career (or retire early). They chose to trade combat effectiveness for rainbows and mutilating genitalia.
