I am amazed this thread has gotten this far. Wow.

Testament to the depths to which this board has sunk.
ETA: And I bear some blame for feeding this thread.

Well that wasn't the goal. The goal was to spark a conversation. Apparently it worked.
We have video of the car hitting the crowd, we have a poster on this board who had spoken to the victim in the past....but you post a bunch of bullshite pics to suggest that it was staged. You used to be a somewhat respectable poster.

quote:This is also exactly how cries of racism work.
My favorite thing about conspiracy theorists is that they always use known conspiracies from the past to prove that conspiracies exist
"That's racist!"
"Um, why? I don't see it".
"Are you saying you don't believe racist things happen! You're sooooooo naïve".
But yeah. I think that's a good part but the best part to me is this.
They want to point out little hyper narrow oddities and say, "well come on, that's odd.......so my theory of an overarching conspiracy is true".
But, they want to ignore ALL of the odd shite you'd have to assume to be true for the overarching conspiracy to be true.
Ice did that in this thread. He gets two posts both addressing the myriad other things that would have to be true for his theory to be correct...........and............his response? "That Swat guy is the Dad".
Focusing on the narrow while ignoring the totality is what makes conspiracy nuts ridiculous.

Limestone on the surface of the earth...ok, I don't have a problem with plate tectonics... What does that have to do with no life being around 7 miles below the water... Price of tea in China rob
LOL.
So. You don't understand what forms limestone.

There is a geologist that has a theory on there not being plate tectonics, though

This implies that it was not a sewer of morons at one point.

Ice, CptBengal, Mizz poster, etc are almost assuredly flat earthers
if not, I would be interested in knowing how and why they choose to believe some conspiracies, but not others

I am really curious to hear what big events they believe are not conspiracies.

I am amazed this thread has gotten this far. Wow.
In all seriousness, does it seem like the hoax believers are more prevalent than usual? Are people who didn't believe it before, now more likely to believe it now? And if so, is this related to the increased popularity of conspiracy theory pushers and fake news sources?

This is what I dont get, if these theories are so far out there and the people pushing them are so ridiculous, why spend any time or energy debating them?
I think its most definitely plausible that JFK was assasinated by someone other than Lee Harvey Oswald.
Would some poweful people create or exploit tragedy to further an agenda? Absolutely

I'm not talking about how it was made, just how it arrived there...
It was pushed upwards over time...
Why is everything a laughingstock to you...?

What, in your opinion, makes that the most logical explanation?
That the entire population of a small municipality in a small northeastern state would all have to be in on the consiracy? Is this even a question?

Town of 27K people. 26 people killed. It is statistically likely that somewhere approaching 90% of the people in the town would have known at least one of the victims, at least in passing. It's likely that at least 25% of the town knew one of the victims, or their families directly.
Maybe Tx can come up with another fake quote as proof for himself on this one too.
