Why could this also not apply to healthcare?

Because our current healthcare providers have made it their life's work to go into the private sector. Not to mention, this is going to greatly lower the doctor talent pool.

This is coming from the same guy that wants the government to "protect us from corporations" and then goes into the next thread telling everyone to make their own google. You have a pathetic premise on every argument

Your disdain for personal responsibility is both pathetic and hilarious at the same time

The government does not need to save you from your own stupidity.

Did you not read my last post? 78% of workers live paycheck to paycheck, and since this board thinks democrats do not work, than it really says "78% of Republicans live paycheck to paycheck"

What does that have to do with your hypocrisy?

I don't care if it's a Republican or a lazy, can't help himself like you, it's not the governments job. Poverty levels rise when the government intervenes.

Health care is not a “right”

This is correct.

Do I expect that millionaires and billionaires can attain access to the better hospitals, technology, and cutting edge treatment for serious illness or disease? You betcha. Good for them.

Do I have “access” to the same as them? You betcha. The difference is they can afford the best of everything, while I can not. I may have to bankrupt my family or go I to extreme debt.

Which is why i have made the decision to only seek the care that my insurance covers minus my deductible. In the event of serious illness or disease, I will seek the treatment afforded to me under my plan. If there is something else out there that wealthy people can do, but they can afford it and i can’t, I am NOT bankrupting my family to seek such treatment.

If that means I die as a result, so be it that’s the cards I was dealt.

So I do agree that health care is NOT a right. It’s a commodity that you get what you what you can afford.

I do not expect my healthcare to mirror that of millionaires and billionaires. Like I do not expect my lifestyle - houses, cars, vacations- to mirror theirs either.

Do you think all of that 78% total have made bad decisions to get in that predicament? The number is too high to be just based on 'Bad Decisions"

You know how I know you're not a smart guy? Because you said you're a smart guy. Smart people don't do that.

So you are saying living paycheck to paycheck is not a result of poor decisions?

I never said I was a smart guy. You said I was smart. I agreed. I am by no means smart. I am without a doubt smarter than you.

According to the article you posted 78% of households earning 100k or are living paycheck to paycheck.Obviously they are living outside of their means, which would be considered a bad decision.

Yes, I am. At anytime you could find yourself in this position, and not just due to bad decisions. Sounds like you have been fortunate your whole life and not had to deal with hardship, I hope that continues for you. Not everybody is that lucky.

You are clever sir. Let me rephrase. You know how I know you're not a smart guy? Because you assumed someone's intelligence that you've never met, based upon the fact that they don't lap up the hardline nonsense of internet tough guys pandering to like-minded sycophants.

And a degree at SLU in Business is not what I would call high education!

I'm sure all they need is some Freedom Bucks and they won't have to worry about stupid stuff like budgets and living within their means.

Are you a Christian? How would Jesus answer this question ?

Here's a truth that no one may have never told you: in every society on earth, including ours, those with money have a higher value placed on their lives than those without.

I wouldn't call myself particularly religious, so I don't really care how Jesus would answer that question.
