Hawaii is sooooooo overrated. It's not for me. Food sucks, except for the Japanese food. I like Costa Rica better. Been 3x and aint going back.

OB, Pensacola, Destin, 30A, and PCB all have better beaches. Hawaii is perhaps on par with Gulf Shores.

It’s overrated to you because it’s not for you.

Droppies…..droppies errywhere.

Be mad about a tax, but let’s not lie because you’re mad.

The good thing about America is you have a choice to vote with your wallet.

Hawaii is of course stepping on their dick. First thing they need to do is adjust their budgets and control waste like every other democratic run state. It’s ridiculous.

Well that takes Hawaii off the list...unless the government is paying for it.

Its wild. Definitely one of our countries treasures, often overlooked for the sexier islands.

I'm an amateur Geography freak, its right up my alley.

So, when you stay in a $1300 a night villa on Maui, you'll owe another $9.75, essentially the cost of a beer at the pool bar (if you're lucky). Is that right?

Or, if you're staying on the Island of Hawaii in a ocean view Hilton for $320 a night you'll owe another $2.40, essentially, the cost of a 16 oz. bottle of water at a convenience store. Is that right?

That will sure boost tourism

Saw an article come across my feed from one of their local rags a few weeks back bitching about how the tourists aren't coming around as much anymore already. They voted for it, enjoy it.

Ridiculously high prices, long flights, locals that hate you, and punitive taxation as soon as your feet touch the ground. Sounds like a great place to avoid when I can head to Cancun or elsewhere in the Caribbean in less than half the time and for 1/4 of the price.

Its not the tourist it's the locals that trash the islands

You’re right and wrong. Both trash it but the good locals do way more to clean it up/keep it clean than good tourists ever will.

I have driven all over the country. All the way up and through Canada and all the way south through Baja Mexico.

I’ve never had the itch to go to Hawaii and probably never will.
