Then what was the significance of stressing how consistent he was?
What was the point of the post, if not to partially defend the guy's actions?

I actually agree with the sentiment. At first when I heard him on Tim Pool I thought he was a well intentioned idiot.
After I heard more of him I just thought he was delusional.
If you think a dude is as evil as Hitler, wishing him (or his followers) death, it’s morally consistent to stop him.
I don’t agree with him. I think he’s a f’king moron. I think he’s reprehensible. But I think his delusion is consistent with his awful world view.
I have 2 very progressive co-workers. One is super rational and we can find middle ground on tons of things easily.
The other one absolutely thinks Trump is Hitler and you cannot find anything to agree with him on. He lives in Denver and said “I totally get why you guys have wanted to close the border. But Trump is evil for the way he wanted to do it.”
Destiny started in the former camp and has needed in the latter as of late.

Weak people love to be told how to think and what to do. My guess is those that find Trump repulsive have some sort of internal guilt that they hate about themselves.

Fair and I get the sentiment but I used him because he's the most obvious example of a terrible person. I could have said Charles mansion, or Ted Bundy. The point is lots of horrible people are consistent in their beliefs. That doesn't mean he has some moral high ground.
I'm not saying he's a dictator or serial killer, but that characteristic is often found in the most terrible people.

What I'm saying is that it's not reasonable for anyone to actually equate Trump with Hitler.
It's arguing from very bad faith.
The "If someone really thinks that Trump is Hitler" isn't valid. Because no one should reasonably be able to claim that.
Especially some guy who is informed enough to make a living doing political/social commentary.

Steven Bonnell aka Destiny....he is a Youtube debate bro...been around a while but recently has been garnering more attention as he has been debating more higher profile folks.
Just curious, did he win any of those debates?

Defending his thought process is more like it.
Compared to those that have also called Trump Hitller and an existential threat to this country yet say we should feel sympathy for him and his supporters.. Why would someone that truly believes that have any sympathy? Do all these folks that beleive Trump is a threat to democracy really think like Destiny and are feigning sympathy or do they really not think Trump is a threat.....either way they are lying. Destiny is not

We'll have to agree to disagree.
Those people you just named are lying in that way IMO because it serves them better politically to appear to contradict themselves.
It serves Destiny's personal Soy-Boy butt hurt Gen-Z feelings to appear to be consistent. (And he's finding out why the other group was too smart to go with his narrative).
But like I said above, I do not believe that someone who does what he does for a living can possibly believe what you claim he believes.
So my conclusion is that they are all lying. Just with different goals and therefore different narratives. I don't believe ANY of them truly believe that Trump is Hitler.
Just because they say it doesn't mean it's true. It seems like an obvious political narrative to me, not something that they actually think is true.
I think the truth is that I don't think someone like Destiny believes you have to be Hitler to deserve to be assassinated. I think for someone like him, returning abortion to the states is more than enough. But it sounds better to act like he thinks Trump is Hitler.

The Shapiro and Petersen debates I thought were tenjoyable discussions. Shapiro I thought scored more points in their debate.

And to think that he isn't the only one out there in some kind of position of influence. There's a reason why there's such a an anti-strong White male push at the highest levels of govt and industry, be wise there are a bunch of cucks like this guy leading these institutions.

I've watched a couple of discussions with Destiny and some conservativea such as Michael Knowles and it was a disaster for Destiny.....it was his destiny.
