Maybe thats yhe point of this.... universities need to vett foreign students better and be more cooperative with the federal government since they depend on them for the visas. Just sayin

Well the administration gave them the opportunity to turn over requested information. Harvard refused. At this point the government has to lean in harder. Small government works until it doesn't
Exactly

Does that mean the courts have the responsibility of administering all types of Visas for entry into this country? So the State Department is defunct now?

This will be injunction'd and the admin is going probably not going to have this stand in the federal courts tbh. It is a browbeating tactic. On one hand Trump is making them waste money in court cases, on the other hand we're wasting the limited resources of the DoJ to defend the administration's position. Pyrrhic victory stuff...
So then it is okay for universities to allow cultivation of anti-semitism and hate speech? Universities increasingly don't act in the best interest of our National Interest.
Three days until they can judge shop for a Massachusetts judge to execute an injunction.

Just pause all foreign students for a year to establish guidelines on who can come here. All Chinese need kicked out for good

Well one of their soldiers just murdered two people from the brainwashing they received at institutions like Harvard.
except that guy didn't go to harvard so this is dumb

Any institution that “educates” as many foreigners as Harvard does shouldn’t be getting tax-payer grants or special tax considerations. Period. Cap it at 10% foreign enrollment. Anything over that and you forfeit your special status.

Very concerned with the right to life which you obviously aren’t.

Yeah... but is this to punish Harvard
Yes.

punish ALL international students that intend to attend there?
Harvard is the only university in America they can attend? This doesn't "punish" any prospective students. There are literally hundreds of colleges and universities in America they can choose from.

Maybe, but the Supremes will eventually uphold it.

GTFO with this stupid shite. Stop pretending it's some new development that federal money (to universities or anything at all) comes with the strings attached of things like adhering to Civil Rights laws/regs.
What civil rights law strips Harvard of its ability to select its own students for admission? I'll wait for your answer.

Go back to your safe space. Do you approve of Harvard allowing non-student scum onto their campus to harass innocent Jewish students?

What law guarantees a visa to any foreign student that wants to go to Harvard?
What law guarantees that Harvard can continue to get federal dollars if they do nothing to prevent antisemitic harassment of its students?

Good. I hope it hurts a lot. The men that founded Harvard would hate what it has become.

I feel like these allegations are way overblown and disingenuously framed to be quite honest. Not pinning that on this administration. The last admin was just as bad on this front to be quite honest. It is just a useful way to silence dissent against a close ally that neither party has any true daylight between them and the ally. It is being used as a cudgel in this case because Harvard won't play ball on the DEI proclamations from the executive branch.
Furthermore, a private university doesn't have to act in the best interest of the nation. They shouldn't expect government funding if they don't but denying access to international students is capricious.
