Oh, there are some adults who do seriously advocate for it. They do so though with the belief that they will benefit from it (whether they believe they are so far down the prosperity ladder that they can only move upward or they think they will be part of the ruling elite who are above the system).
I know a guy, he's a hard-working serial entrepreneur and he's a die-hard socialist because he believes he would be part of the group running the show and thus above the system's restrictions.
They exist and they prove that intelligence and wisdom aren't always the same thing.

It’s amazing to me that people can’t see when the government takes all your hard worked money through taxes to pay for people that do nothing that you end up with even more people who do nothing and a collapsing economy because no one has expendable income. It’s a death spiral for a country.
