Trump and the democrat congress in 2020, and Biden and the democrat congress in 2021, as well as Powell printing 40%+ of all dollars ever in 2020 caused this.

Most of this is on the fed. In an effort to avert a recession during the brief reign of emperor Antonius Faucius, they have caused what’s likely to be the worst inflation and recession since the 1800s.

There is no way to argue that away. That’s hard facts. It’s also a warning: 40% of all dollars were printed. We haven’t absorbed that yet. 9% inflation is just the start. It’s going to get worse.

We might be headed to such a catastrophe that we’ll have to shave a 0 off the currency like Argentina.

Trump wasn't a fiscal conservative. I don't know that he ever claimed to be; it certainly wasn't a focus of his campaign. It sucks, but I figured he'd spend a bunch.

Trump wasn’t worried about how much his government spent ever. From 2016 to 2020.

At least we were spending a bunch and things things were going pretty good at home and abroad.

Now we’re spending more and everything everywhere is falling the frick apart.

“GIVE me control of a nation's money supply, and I care not who makes its laws.”

Mayer Amschel Rothschild, founder of the Rothschild banking dynasty

Who do you think controls our Federal Reserve? Lincoln and Kennedy found out the hard way. Regardless, it is Congress who holds the purse strings in America.

Yet, inflation was still tame until covid hit and many states went into economy destroying lockdowns.

He wasn't, but he wasn't exactly going off the rails either until this little bug from Chynah entered the fray.

I'm not positing that as an "excuse" exactly inasmuch as to show where he really started to go astray.

Don't get me wrong, it was a no-brainer for me to vote for him in both general elections. I just never expected him to show much restraint in that department.

If Trump is going to be the nominee in 2024, this needs to change. Federal govt spending is the #1 issue for a lot of people.

Neither side of the aisle gives a frick about running up the debt, so Trump wasn’t going to beat that losing war drum

The only moment of fiscal responsibility in the last decade was when the establishment bent themselves over backwards to stall a $25B border wall that would have paid for itself many times over in saved obligations. But noooooooo!! That was a waste and 4 trillion dollar covid spending sprees are necessary

It's not tough to swallow. It is accurate.

DJT spent like a drunken sailor. So did Obama. Biden is the worst of all.

It doesn't help that the Fed decided it would aid in the stupidity.

Over 40% of the money ever printed in the USA has been printed in the last 2 years. It's a wonder anyone is surprised at the current economic issues.

Obama never even passed a budget during his two terms. Trump tried to cut things like PBS funding but congress wouldn’t hear of it.

Maybe it is time we start selling some assets. The US is full of assets (minerals and rights, timber, land, islands, beachfront, buildings, gold, silver, military assets, etc) and no one ever talks about that half of the spreadsheet. I am still not sure if our assets are greater than or less than our debt and no one ever talks about it.

I think he thought that if he could get the economy going like gangbusters (which he did) the deficit would be reduced by economic growth alone. Would have worked too if not for Nancy Pelosi and the Dems being in control of congress (and with the help of poses like Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell). I think he was going to open the economy back up after the election if he had not been robbed of the presidency.

Trump was a Blue Dog Democrat his whole life. In 2016, as far left as America has gone, that equates to a right wing white Nationalist. Welcome to clown world.

Absolutely not.

They are clearly going to inflate their way out of this at our expense so selling tangible assets is a horrible idea.

If you listen to the MSM, Trump was the worst President ever.
