What do you suggest Canada do.
Be more concerned about allowing China and the cartels to use them as a hub for fentanyl
Canada Is Becoming a Fentanyl Exporter

But Canadian financial and law-enforcement agencies have said that Canada does have a problem with fentanyl trafficking. Transnational organized-crime groups, including ones linked to Mexican cartels, are making drugs in Canada and exporting them.
On Thursday, a report by Canada’s Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Center, which monitors suspected money-laundering in Canada, said trafficking networks in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico have increased production of fentanyl and other drugs, and have been sending more offshore.
Canadian police said in October that they had busted a fentanyl “superlab” in the western province of British Columbia. Police seized hundreds of pounds of fentanyl, methamphetamine, Ecstasy and cocaine, along with 89 handguns and automatic rifles, explosives, body armor and the equivalent of $350,000 in cash.
The lab had enough “precursor,” the chemicals used to make the drugs, to operate for weeks and produce 95 million lethal fentanyl doses, police said. They also discovered tons of chemicals used in making precursor, suggesting a level of sophistication “unprecedented” in Canada, said David Teboul, assistant commissioner of Canada’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

So you're saying it can be done?
If youre willing to amend the constitution to have laws similar to what Singapore has regarding drugs.
I like the constitution myself.

Liberals do not see the facts behind the emotional wall.... Same here, this guys see 43 lbs, and the emotional trigger is pulled and does not see the fact that it can kill millions..... Liberalism is a bad, uncurable disease!
Gets it!

Therefore, it makes no sense to have the same tariff imposed on Canada as Mexico
So a democrat that molested one kid shouldn't get the same punishment as a democrat that molested two kids?

the reason for the tariff has anything to do with fentanyl.
I'm pretty sure he said stem the flow of illegal immigrants too.

What would be unconstitutional about harsher punishment for possession with intent to distribute?

There you go, you cannot see through the emotional wall, as usual.

That’s how much we seized.
How much made it through?

So you mean it starts with 43 pounds seized, xxx pounds missed, and then expands and progresses from there? But the board legal resource manager says it’s all for naught. Hmm, which direction to go?

43 lbs of fentanyl can kill a lot of people when you consider that 3 mg can kill a person. Most of the fentanyl is coming across via truck through normal ports of entry. It only takes 1 kilo to basically kill everybody in the US. It's hard to track down because it comes across in small amounts comparatively . So conceivably you can have 1000 kilos of cocaine shipped in and maybe 1 kilo could be fentanyl.
You could put it in a small baby powder container and get it to the supply chain and kill a lot of people.

Nobody said this. However, given our total operations, 43 lbs isn't even a rounding error in the grand scheme of things, and the 43 lbs is projectable to the total. I imagine the fentanyl that comes from Mexico is weighed in tons
So you know more than the CBP agents…….
Let that sink in guys. This guy feels some way and thus negates what trained agents with decades of experience know.

Just accept that I am dense AND obtuse or whatever insult you want to hurl.
Given the facts, it's obvious to me that fentanyl is a negotiating ruse that President Trump is deploying to justify the tariff against Canada. You see it differently. Not a huge deal. Our nation is in good hands now.

All fentanyl should come with intent to distribute punishment considering how much damage it does in small doses.

Good luck getting that accomplished.

Education - real truth - not the Ad council lies.
Take school kids on a field trip to see junkies killing themselves at a free drug clinic. Teach them the truth about it in the 3rd or 4th grade.
Pay Mexico/Peru to incarcerate dealers or possession with intent.

You called it unconstitutional, Roger.

What?
Do you know that currently under federal trafficking laws only 40 micrograms of fentanyl can trigger intent to distribute charges? 40 micrograms is just 0.0008% of a teaspoon

It’s about using the pain points we have at our disposal to affect a change in Americas favor.
And no one is buying your bullshite about being a Trump supporter. GTFO with this nonsense.

To punish users severely? Yes.
Its the demand driving the industry, regardless of drug or source.
