Well here's the thing with that. Brass only lasts so long. Semi-auto about 5 reloads, so 5K rds last 25k +/- 3k Id say.
Theyre creating non-reloadable ammo. In 10yrs no brass. PLastic hulls with webbing as only brass on the round. So once plastic ammo comes to the consumer, theyll have weeded out reloading or theyll sell plastic hulls at a premium. Like $1 a hull for rifle on the cheap end and fully loaded probably $1.25 a rd for 5.56.
Plastic hulls do have advantages such as 100% concentricity and 0 runout. Therefore, highly accurate ammo out the gate. But at what price? Heavily taxed is def on the list.

If gun control comes, it may be best it is through EO and not legislated in congress. Makes Joe* look more like a Tyrant and much easier to reverse through the courts and through a change in office.
It will be neither. Read up on the Gun Control act of 1968. It created the ATF. It gave ATF regulatory authority over what was classified as a “sporting weapon”. All of these so called assault weapons will be reclassified as. AOW. You will have a grace period to register.
Go read Biden’s website he lays it out in great detail.
They can’t regulate magazines or ammo without legislation.

Ok, you can pretend you don’t have any guns, that changes nothing, nobody is going to knock on your door and ask for your guns, they don’t have to. You will never be able to take a banned weapon out of your house without risking going to prison. Get stopped for speeding with a banned weapon in your vehicle you go to jail. You will lose your job, have any professional license revoked. There will be rewards for neighbors willing to turn you in, who can you trust? Those caught violating gun restrictions will be made out as a lower form of life than drug dealers. So again, having to live like a drug dealer with a hidden stash of illegal weapons doesn’t accomplish much. I’m an old man, I may be willing to go that route, but how many 30 somethings with young families and careers are going to risk throwing it all away to live as a felon?
This guy gets it. There isn’t going to be some showdown. They aren’t knocking on your door. All they have to do is make it illegal and punishable with prison time.
Y’all severely underestimate the left to get what they want.

We’ve been here before.
Executive Order 6102 by FDR required that,
“All Americans were required to turn in their gold on or before May 1, 1933 to the Federal Reserve in return for $20.67 of paper money per troy ounce. Americans who did not turn in their gold were subject to arrest on criminal charges and faced up to 10 years in federal prison.”
Americans waited in line at banks all day to turn in their hold.

They’re going to require registration of guns first. After that, once they have a registry, they will round them up

If the ATF can redefine what a "machine gun" is....
... it create opportunities for the anti-2A types.
I expect to see ATF to expand.. probably use out of work ICE and Border patrol agents

Why you think they still have NG at the capital?

Did you copy that from somewhere? Or are you Siberian?
What is the general media and consensus on the current state of America in your country?
I did not copy from where. These are my thoughts on the situation in the United States.
Yes, I'm Siberian.
Our media almost never writes about the United States. The lighting is neutral.
For example similar headers:
- Trmap put up his candidacy in the elections
- Trump and Biden remained of all the candidates
- Protesters gathered near the Capitol
And now about the weather ...
Like that.

Been hearing these threats since the 70’s. Nothing ever happens. Relax.

Mark me down for a solid under. Obviously a great deal harder to keep a low profile with a long gun. They gotta keep that booger concealed to the fullest extent possible, to reduce chances of being spotted with a gun. Because the vast majority of folks in those situations aren't legally able to own or possess a firearm to begin with.
You’d lose. The .223 isn’t popular in the inner city, but it IS starting to take a foothold in urban crimes. I’d guess 2% of homocide scenes are seeing spent rifle rounds. It’s a style thing more than a function thing, which is why the brothers have for years chosen to leave auto loader rounds at the scene, which can be matched back to their gun, rather than bringing a revolver to an urban gunfight. The revolver ain’t cool, even though it is far less likely you go to prison if you use one. Similarly, the rifle is BECOMING cool, and the shooters don’t care that it is hard to conceal and you leave evidence and you’re more likely to see prison time, they will default to cool.

A mob of predators with big sticks, baseball bats, machetes, etc., can be lethal if they prey on isolated victims. That is the purpose of an moral impetus for personal arms.
Honest folk have witnessed the Cops being ordered to stand down to what are essentially sociopaths masquerading as political protestors. Given the political-inspired antipathy and hatred between Groups (Race at the fore) in todays societal dynamic...it's easy to see what is coming in the event of anarchy scenarios. Think Katrina on steroids.
Bottom line. Honest folk know that giving up their guns leaves them open to slaughter, because the *Progressive* 'government' stands with the oppressed 'victims'...who wantonly kill each other on a full belly.
If confiscation starts - by any means - it won't take very many smart, highly skilled and totally committed people to start a snoball pitting obvious Groups against each other. There is zero that Government can do other than to get in between said Groups. We already see which Group will and can not tolerate that. So...not rocket science to see where it goes.
Control of Money and basic goods and services (Healthcare, etc.) is FAR more important than control of guns. They are wrecking the Private Economy and 'confiscating' said goods and services as we type. IMO, that can not be stopped. So.

AR and AK style weapons are actually used pretty frequently in homicides. I’d estimate at least 7-10% of them.
I would love to see you prove that statistic, because nationwide it's less than 1 percent.

Any gun be an "assault weapon" if used in an assault!
quote:
A coke bottle can be assault weapon.
With a bottle of cola, a pistol or a shotgun, you will not be able to storm the army.
And if with AR or AK, then the result may differ from the cola.
This is probably why they are planning to withdraw their assault weapons.
It seems that those who stole the elections, afraid of voters who saw the deception and came out to protest at the Capitol.
Therefore, they want to guard the Capitol for a little longer than after impeachment.

Several comments about it being best....for us....if this is attempted through an E.O. As it would be easier to overturn in the courts. IS this factual, i.e. is it realistic to believe a court will overturn the E.O.?
