Sure. We can all agree that Illegal immigration needs to be fixed. Legal immigration process has needed improvement for years also.
Trade deficits are not a boogeyman inherently, got to be be strategic about it.
You don’t have to be a bully when you are making friends through soft diplomacy programs. Some USAID programs actually helped on that front so we didn’t need to threaten to bully everyone.
Speaking of bullies, a loudmouth boy st our kids middle school had been harassing this girl for a while. Saying really annoying crap. She finally clocked him good and bloodied up his face. She doesn’t give a crap about getting detention. And now all the other kids are making fun of that boy. It makes me wonder…

No we wouldnt be in the wrong. Our obligation is to the US, not to anyone else.
Our obligations certainly dont include people who took advantage of our generosity for decades only to stab us in the back. They can move to China after we take over the island if they want to be friends with Xi

Realpolitik, they would be in the wrong. We have protected them for a century, for free. They are 3 hours away from the largest city in our nation, and the financial hub of the world. They are fricking delusional if they think they get to negotiate without our say so
