During the 2024 campaign, who would have ever thought Rubio was going to be the heir apparent by spring 2026?

I remember having discussions specifically about the post-Trump succession plan and how it will get messy and I was told I was wrong.

I think Vance has a better shot to win and I don’t want to lose Rubio as Sec State

Is Vance just going to be a perpetual VP?

We have 3 likely options (RDS, Rubio, Vance) and it's only March of 2026. MTG seems like she's gearing up to run right now also.

As we slowly approach 2028, we observe an abundance of talent in the Republican Party. I have to admit I've been blown away by Marco Rubio's amazing debate skills.

Hey, J.D.Vance is no slouch either. He can really shut down testy MSM reporters good.

Both were tested. But Rubio's cabinet position as Secretary of State allows him the oppertunity to showcase his skills. On the other hand, JD Vance position as Vice-President sort of demands he remain out of view.

Like I said - this administration is talent rich. Tulsi Gabbard says hold my beer.

President Trump is right about.........everything.

Orange isn't part of this discussion as he can't run again.

We're discussing his successor.

Well that was a big part of the whole shifting to blue collar males that used to be a backbone of original MAGA/AF philosophy.

-No more wars (especially in the Middle East). Spend that money domestically

-Enact economic policies from DC to redistribute money to poor white blue collar workers (especially from the Rust Belt)

-Restrict immigration and deport illegals in large numbers to further support the poor white blue collar workers

JD Vance was a big deal b/c he comes from the poor white worker class AND is from the Rust Belt. That was his primary selling point.

Yes he did.

Right but there a lots of things that happen behind the scenes before Vance decides if he runs or not.

This is the first salvo to try the same tactics against Rubio that they did Desantis.

I just hope two people in the same admin keep it civil and don't damage themselves. The next election is incredibly important

JD Vance grew up as poor white trash in one of the areas most impacted by globalism and the negative impacts on the American working class. He then overcame that, went to an Ivy League school, got a law degree and then became a Senator before being VP. He is the perfect representation of MAGA.

Yes, but he's the wrong color.

Rubio needs to serve as Vance’s VP and wait his turn.

Clear that Rubio is better at being a politcian. Secretary of State runs foreign missions, immigration, supervise diplomats. All been successful, so record shows better administrator then Vance. Vance aint shite no bed or nothing and he aint bad it. Even in messeging, handling the media, Rubio does it better. He would bring more appeal in a federal election then Vance.

Why would it be Vance's turn and not Rubio's? Rubio has accomplished far more.

(I have not dog in this fight. I am just curious as to the thought process)

I want someone to explain why everyone in here is blaming Rubio for the foreign intervention this administration is doing, and why Vance doesn't share in the same critique?
