Lol. I have to comment here simply because I myself catch hell for my own lengthy posts, but rarely, if ever, do they reach this level.

Why should England be able to lay claim to an island off the coast of Argentina?

I don’t know what you’re saying. I have an inability to read, remember?

Yeah that was pretty clear from the beginning. But use your finger as a pacer. Slowly enunciate words. You might get there in a lifetime or two. Good luck little dude.

Well then two can play at that game. Same as you, I declare that you have an inability to read…..ya know, if you don’t agree with me. Strange and silly game, but if that’s the one you wanna play, then let’s play. Now what? What am I even thinking - you have an inability to read.

Regardless, none of this is to suggest that China isn't a threat. They are, but they are a threat that has limitations to what they can achieve.

They are a huge threat and Trump policies have checked their global conquest agenda.

They are desperate for food, imported oil and gas. 35% of the food needed to feed the 1.4 billion people is imported. Their industry runs on oil, and their incredibly large rural population uses more LNG, NGL, and LPG than you can imagine, there is not a tree left standing to use for firewood.

They steal intellectual property, produce and ship Fentanyl into the US, cyber espionage, tech theft, maintain a large presence at the Darrian Gap to facilitate immigrant infiltration, on and on. They are doing destructive, distracting things to gain position and capital, all to keep their population subjugated and controlled. They cheapest workforce in the industrialized world. Unlimited funds and we are giving them the capital to continue their agenda.

They are our biggest enemy and a huge threat with the only limitation being their incoming capital the west is supplying.

You telling me the self-proclaimed, proud long-poster is having that much trouble interpreting my little ole measly post there? It’s really got you that puzzled, ostensibly because it doesn’t make sense?

Or are you just playing dumb and pretending it doesn’t make sense, ostensibly to insinuate that I’m not making any sense with my post?

Unfortunately, either way it’s a pretty bad look for you. Just stop and think about your conundrum for a few moments before you immediately fire off another post without forethought and make it worse.

Idiotic.

Tell me what Britain and Europe offers us as Allies...what exactly, do they provide?

Have you thought about some things that you’d like to see them provide/offer as allies, in an ideal situation? Regardless of whether or not they do or don’t at the current time. Just asking what you would consider ideal benefits or things our country would get or gain, ideally.

ETA…I’m just curious about that, it’s not some sort of gotcha attempt. It would be interesting to hear from multiple people on that. Honestly, I myself have to think about it for a spell. Which is a bit strange, because I know I’ve been guilty of firing off responses on this and related topics, apparently without knowing right out of hand precisely what my baseline expectations would even be.

What does the UK expect us to do? "It's not our war." Maybe they can have a meeting to decide to have a meeting to go to War. If the UK can't defend the Island. Then that's on them. I could see this spiraling out of control though. If say Europe formed a military alliance to fight Argentina.

Milei might be the ally of certain US factions, but I'm failing to see the benefit of trading Atlanticism for something where Argentina would be relevant geopolitically.

Firstly give them time. They, like Poland, are on the rise. Argentina has a massive coastline and motivated leader.

Starmer is laughable as is the continent of Europe. Reap what you sow.

We would be better off aligned with Russia at this point going forward

All it takes is the next Democrat President and the US is back in Britain's and Europe's lap.

A few observations...

1. A Brit I met 30 years ago told me that it would have been less expensive for the UK to relocate every citizen in the Falklands back to the UK and give them $1,000,000 each (or maybe it was pounds). Yet he was glad Thatcher sent the navy to get the islands back. That was the typical Brit mentality.

2. Back around 1992...over 10 years after the war... I was driving through the Andes from Puerto Montt, Chile, to Bariloche in Argentina...sometimes called the Switzerland of South America. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Driving this 2 lane road through the Andes, in the middle of nowhere, I pass this sign...

That tells you how passionate the Argentines feel about the islands.

3. Any map of Argentina printed in Argentina not only calls them the Malvinas and part of Argentina...they also show a wedge of Antarctica all the way to the South Pole as part of Argentina.

You are dismissing the ability of China to negatively impact the U.S.

I really don’t need to say any more.

At this point, China has the ability to shut down the U.S. economy.

Additionally, via belt and road, they can absorb that market loss to a manageable degree. Europe kowtowing to them pretty much ensures as much.

Until rare earths are mined in subsequent volume, and magnet production hits / surpasses benchmarks, this dynamic will continue.

Oil is China’s only vulnerability.

It is our countermeasure.

Connect the dots…or not.

Don't give a rat's about this at all.

But...

for historical context, here's an interesting article.

LINK

Argentina has never demonstrated sustained control or the military capacity to alter the status quo, while Britain has administered the Falkland Islands for nearly two centuries, and the islanders themselves overwhelmingly choose to remain British. Together, these factors—not the early history of settlement—explain why the sovereignty question is effectively settled in practice, even though Argentina continues to contest it diplomatically.

BS! When Britain separated their support from their kinsmen, (US) they violated the Donroe Doctorine. Its America first.
