Unenforceable and un-prosecutable ultimately.

These are your Owl type of Republicans. Claiming to be Conservatives and then defending Trannies by calling them only cross-dressers. And then calling MAGA Republicans fake conservatives

The House is run by a bunch of democrats disguised as republicans. Big reason why Abbott can’t get some shite done.

Nope.
quote:
The bill specifically targets political advertising that features an “image, audio recording, or video recording of an officeholder’s or candidate’s appearance, speech, or conduct that did not occur in reality.” This broad language includes media altered using generative artificial intelligence technology.

I believe a meme is a image last time I checked

A meme is not limited to images.
quote:
A meme is a cultural idea, behavior, style, or piece of media that spreads from person to person—often through imitation or humor. In modern usage, especially online, a meme usually refers to an image, video, or text that is shared and modified across social media platforms to convey a joke, commentary, or trend.
There are two main types of memes:
Internet memes – These are typically humorous images or short videos with text, such as the classic "Distracted Boyfriend" or "Grumpy Cat." They're shared rapidly and often altered or remixed.
Cultural memes – These refer more broadly to units of cultural transmission, as originally defined by biologist Richard Dawkins in The Selfish Gene (1976), where he compared memes to genes in how they replicate and evolve.

I also noticed someone just posted this exact thread 5 minutes before you and the thread was deleted. Someone doesn't want this information getting out

A meme is an image. A political advertisement, however, is NOT a meme.
This... is a political meme...

Not a political advertisement that has been deep-faked to make something appear to happen that in reality didn't happen. Which is what this bill targets, is it not?
But hey, JB, feel free to get all alarmist and up your clicks and post count. It's what you do.

The below wording of the bill is very vague which could easily target political memes as advertising that did not happen in reality. Very big window for interpretation in that bill

Calling a spade a spade is not being an alarmist. I did not even start the thread. You sure are getting your panties in a bunch defending some RINO politicians.

It is shocking the number of people here who apparently cannot read.

Very vague
What happens if a candidate or their social media team retweets a meme?
