Look this is pretty simple. There is only so much water on this planet. The amount does not change. It is either in the atmosphere or on the surface of the earth. Unless you ship some in from outer space or ship some out the amount will not change. A over abundance (floods) will happen in some areas and an under abundance (drought) will happen in others. At the end of the day the amount of h2o does not vary.

I thought global warming was going to cause sea levels to rise because the polar ice caps would melt.
