CNN calls RBG part of The Resistance. That makes her sound fairly biased towards the president, so she should recuse herself on anything dealing with this administration.

Blame Orrin Hatch for some of this shite.
Clinton met with him about potential SCOTUS nominations since he was head of the judiciary committee IIRC.
Hatch told him not to put up a political hack like Bruce Babbitt for the job and instead to put up an accomplished legal mind like Ginsburg.
Ginsburg was nominated and sailed through despite some of her positions because she was seen as a brilliant legal mind.

to be fair, she is a brilliant legal mind
but she absolutely has biases when making her decisions and is brilliant enough to cite case law and history in order to make her biased position the new law of the land
