GE's Plan to be a sexist company and deliberately discriminate against males

So basically women will be hired because they are women. Everyone should be on board with this, right?

A private, successful company doing something that will increase their bottom line?

Is it just me, or should the most qualified person be hired, regardless of sex, skin color, ethnicity, etc?
I understand them wanting equality, but just hiring women because they're woman (may or not be qualified) seems counter intuitive to the way business should work.

I just don't see the downside in claiming you are female at this point. If anyone says your not acting like a female just claim sexism as they try to stereotype what a female is supposed to be.

How do you figure it will increase their bottom line? Will the gender equality in hiring result in the same skill level of employees or will it be hiring 50-50 for the sole purpose of having a 50-50 workforce?
