I got a Camry last year and they moved normal features to subscription. Auto door locks. Something I had for 10 years on my previous car are moved to subscription. Or I should say when you forget to manually lock the doors you get a notification that your car in unlocked and can lock it from the phone.
I think the Camry had something like 9 different subscriptions. Total bullshite.

Just not American to allow this kind of control over something as private and independent as your vehicle.
It's an insane law. I could understand saying "we need to restrict access to this chemical because it's poisonous/explosive/dangerous." That would make sense.
But this is saying "Yeah it's fine to drive everywhere & pollute but you can't have 3 extra minutes for comfort Just because." It's ridiculously petty. Plant a damn tree if you feel that guilty

That's retarded. You can't even drive it when I remote start it.

IoT/SaaS is unAmerican at its core.
Paying full price for the hardware, and then paying monthly to use it and additionally for other features is the fools game. Unfortunately, its the future once people that knew the way it was prior are outnumbered.

The person who first made this decision is purely evil.
If it’s some fancy new feature? You could at least make a flimsy argument for it.
But something that has been standard for over a decade?
Yeah, that’s gonna be a “no” from me, Dawg. I’ll hit the lock button.

The global warming fools would keep doing stupid crap even if a glacier covered half of their country.

There is an easy solution for our progressive friends in Colorado. If you want to warm up your car in the morning but prevent theft, just warm it up inside of your closed garage while you wait outside of the car to keep an eye out for potential thieves that could try to enter your garage. I can guarantee a cold car will soon never be a problem for you again.

Car won't go into drive mode without the fob in the car. You can't walk up to a remote started car and just drive it off.
They know they're lying, and their followers blindly believe their leftist bullshite.
tons of people start their car to warm up with the fob - or the keys - in it, leading to increases in stolen cars. how is it possible you can't understand this?

Not sure why they say, "without warning". Its been illegal in Germany for a while, our Audi doesn't have a start feature on the fob due to the laws over there. You can download the app and start it on there though.

Today, I learned Colorado calls starting your car to warm it up (something I do daily right now) ... Puffing.
They are so strange out there, our diction isn't even the same.

1. Biden won in 2020 fair and square -he did. djt is and always has been a sore loser. 5 yrs later, zero proof
2. The borders were closed during the Biden Administration - who said that?
3. The Covid vaccine was safe and effective - its is safe and effective. the initial claims that it would prevent infection completely were incorrect and reckless, but the dumb claims about how its killing people are as well. I'll give trump credit for operation warp speed, that was impressive
4. Russian collusion was real - collusion directly with trump and his dumbass kids? no. putin would never trust those dummies with that type of intel. paul manafort? yeah, he sold out his country and russia definitely did all they could do get the weakest president into office...and succeeded!
5. The pee pee tape was real - i'll send you my pin # if you can link me saying this
6. Biden was mentally sharp - biden has been dumb as shite for decades
7. There is no daycare fraud in Mn - again, link? there's daycare fraud in every state, same as Medicare fraud, credit card fraud, etc.
8. California is the model of how we need to run our nation - once again, who said that? you're just rage posting nonsense
