Guns in bars and nightclubs is an extremely bad idea.

Because when it's "outlawed" criminals don't still bring them into these establishments despite the rules.

Get a clue. Hanging a sign up prohibiting something means very little to the criminal mind. Symbols being replaced with consequential action does.

If you bring a gun to a nightclub, then you're a fricking idiot and an irresponsible gun owner, regardless of whether or not it's legal.

Law as it already existed basically stated "under the influence" for possession and use (while hunting, recreational shooting) with exception of self-defense. Not sure how that squares with CCW.

Well then, if you want to go that route, can you give us a reason the police or other government agencies (besides the military) need assault rifles?
You see, you can't say a civilian will never be in need for one, yet contradict yourself and say police will need them.

I see quotes like yours so often and always think "why do the other agencies need them but don't want us to have them"?

As someone who was born and raised in suburban New York and went to college in suburban Chicago, I must admit I simply do not understand the necessity some folks have for carrying weapons when going to the library, going to Applebees, etc. Are things really that dangerous for the people in Georgia that they need to strap and pack when going out for milk or an egg mcmuffin? I don't get it. I thought America was more safe than that.

no

it isn't really about that. it's a warning shot to potential criminals.

the reverse logic is why so many mass shootings occur where people are not allowed to carry weapons

Probably not. But what does that have to do with exercising a Constitutional right?

Most of us don't need criminal defense attorneys. Should we ban them?

I don't understand why there are fire extinguishers in schools. When was the last time a school burned to the ground and the only thing that saved people was a hand held fire extinguisher? I don't get it. I thought America was more safe than that. Yet there they are in every school in every hallway.

I think anyone with the most basic of reasoning skills should know that guns and a heavy amount of booze don't mix.

Why do you think gun owners are excluded from the most basic of reasoning skills?

It is a right stated in the constitution. Maybe it is not needed, but that is not relevant. It is a right. Do you need to say certain things? Do you need to vote? Do you need a newspaper?

Random attacks are often... random. Meaning I always carry no matter where I go. ESPECIALLY grabbing anything from a gas station.

No they don't. HOWEVER... Criminals don't care about the law.

I think it's at the discretion of the person. For me, I'm actually leery of the thought of people carrying guns into bars. BUT... They already do. They just don't get caught. A good, law abiding, concealed carry licensed American should have the right to do the same and not get in trouble for it.
