Before my redshirt sophomore year in college I worked at an On The Border and one night we had a table of about 60 black people. Not just any black people but the really really hood/street/ghetto ones.

Me and another server I worked with(who was black) were assigned to this table and worked it together. It was the only table we had all night because of its size.

They went through chips and salsa like they hadn't eaten in 3 weeks.

I had never had to get so many drink refills in my life.

They ordered food with thousands of modifications. We suspected they did this so they could complain that we didn't do it right and therefore get their food for free.

They ordered about $1300 worth of food. Of course, half of them had problems with it, wanted it sent back and redone, which of course backed up the kitchen, and of course wanted it for free since it was wrong.

Finally they are done eating and out comes the bill(which of course we had to split about 45 ways).

Every single guest at the table wanted to-go drinks, which meant we had to spend time preparing 60 drinks in styrofoam to go cups.

We come out there and learn half of the group has bailed on their check, expecting others at the table to pay.

Fortunately out of the 60 guests there were a couple good ones who did their best to make sure everyone paid. However since so many people skipped out on the check and left they just couldn't cobble enough money together to pay the $1300 or so bill. I think in the end they paid about $950 so we were $350 short.

So basically we worked that nightmare table for 4 hours, for free. Made minimum wage that night. Since they were short on the bill they did not pay for the auto 18% gratuity so we made no tips. If they simply paid for the auto grat it would have been about $120 for each of us which even then wouldn't have been worth that nightmare.

I quit that night. It was the end of the summer anyway and football practice was about to start. But I didn't give them the courtesy of a 2 weeks notice.

My great-great grandfather fought for the Union. Reparations complete.

Slavery Reparations is bull crap for many reasons...

People alive today had nothing to do with it.

Of the people alive during slavery only 1/100 actually owned a slave.

All wealth generated by Slavery was destroyed by the Civil War.

The US debt over the war was 10 times the entire federal budget of the 2 previous years.
The yearly interest on that debt was more than the year before the war's federal budget.

300,000 non slave owners gave their lives to end it.
So are we going to make their descendants pay reparations for things their forefathers paid for in blood?


Also in New Orleans alone 3k blacks owned slaves

In Louisiana 6 blacks owned more than 65 slaves.
One of them owned 152 slaves.

Reparations already exist in the form of horseshite jobs with great benefits in which a person can be lazy, incompetent, and unqualified...and still gets PAID.
