re: Genuine question. How many folks around these parts believe Trump now has it in the bag?

i'll go with 6, which is about the betting odds on Trump winning, but that is because there is still an outside shot they replace Biden. Once Biden is locked in i would go up to 7 or 8. Trump can still screw up but with Biden you just know he will too.

Pandy, I appreciate this thread. It seems like the overwhelming majority of us think that Trump was cheated out of victory in 2020. You don't?
I don't pretend to know if he was cheated out of it or not. I'm open to the possibility it was stolen but how am I to really know? At any rate, that was then, this is now.
Cheating aside though (because that's typically the default response). Do you believe Trump has this election in the bag and if so, on a scale from 1 to 10 what's your confidence level?
If you believe he's going to lose or may lose, other than cheating, what will cause him to lose it?
I've got him winning but at a confidence level of 4. I believe a weaponized media (MSM and social) would cause him to lose it.

My original comment answers your hypothetical.

If Biden remains the nominee. My confidence level Trump wins shoots up to about a 7. If it's someone else, all sorts of hope and change starts shitting out of the collective mouth of the MSM and social media. When that happens, an entirely new "inspired" narrative gets written and this post debate political high we're all riding gets forgotten in a hurry.
With a new candidate, the opposition can get off its heels and recalibrate.

Most people in this country love Trump. I’d say 75% at least. Trump is a superstar celebrity and the most accomplished person in our history - billionaire - #1 in entertainment industry - president his first try at running for nothing. One of the most successful president in our history.
The msm tries their best to make people think other wise. But Trump won the last election but it was rigged. 100% confirmed - undeniable
This time the American people are pissed and it will be too big to rig.

Ok then. I don't want to put words in your mouth. Can I assume from your response that if Trump loses this election, it'll be because of cheating alone?
Your response to my OP was pretty clear...
"Depends on the level of cheating. In an honest election, Trump would win at least 49 states".
So if I understand you correctly. Other than cheating, there's no way at all Trump can lose. Is that correct?

Trump has to keep fighting...
don't pull a Mitt Romney and disappear just when you're getting some momentum...

The first emboldened part is quite the take. Can I take that the second emboldened part means you believe Trump will win and your confidence level is a 10 or close to it?

I don't think the outcome depends much on Trump. He is already a known entity.
I think it depends on Biden's replacement. If it's Harris, people will lump her with Biden's horrible border policy and economy. I would give Trump a 7.
If it's Obama or Newsom I would put it at 50/50.
Having said that, I think it will be Harris and I give Trump zero chance of surviving the cheating.
Another question for you: who will be the Democratic nominee?

Ok. So to the first emboldened part, it seems you believe Trump will lose because of cheating and to the second emboldened part. I agree, I think Kamala Harris will be the nominee as well.
Either for cheating or other reasons, there's not alot of faith in this thread Trump can win.

Yes. Biden wants to be the nominee and the people who could remove him know that would lead to Kamala.

Tell me, do you think he's finally listening to people who are advising him (he seems to be) or do you think he'll frick it up in some way?
In his first term he did not thoroughly enough vet people he chose for his administration. Tuned out, many were liberal plants that ended up double crossing him. Hope he learned those lessons and vet and choose more carefully..

The first to interview me for my final position.
First walked “I’ve known you for over 15 years. The only you don’t get this job is to say stupid.” He got up shook my hand and said “ Don’t say anything stupid.” Second guy knew me over 12 years. “These people have already been told “This is the man you want”…..Don’t do anything stupid”
I got hired and the second in the office ….closed on 16 wind farms. Turned them around in two days.
Vivek is that man.
As far as Trump…..follow your list, then start destroying swamp creatures.
McConnell, Pelosi, Schumer ….already have Mittens headed out…..

I've posted in these threads for a year now that this election was the Republican candidate's to lose and have been saying this about Trump since before the first primary.
Unless he steps on his own dick, Trump wins this November.

A Republican candidate up by 7 nationally is uncharted territory.
Barring the world gov’t releasing another virus, Trump in a landslide.

Absolutely fricking not Trump has this in the bag
Gotta keep the heel on their throats and don’t ever get complacent
As Nick Saban says “Make their asses quit!”
Trump supporters needs to not get complacent and cocky at all
They might bring in a Hillary / Michelle Obama ticket

80% feel good about it. 10% are gullible enough to think it’s a slam dunk.

I don’t think DJT can win. The GOP nominated the only candidate that can’t beat Biden. Even within my own GOP county club he’s got about 70% of the support.
