Better? Pet your cat or don't.
Be sad or happy.
No fricks given. It was just a suggestion to cure your sadness.

no tribalism
20 bucks says they leaves their kids their family wealth when he and his wife pass.
It's only natural for you to look out for your and your family first. Neighbors and friends next. Then people in your city, then state, then country. Finally, if there's anything left, people across the world.
Ending tribalism says it'd be a complex choice to save your wife or a random person you've never met. I don't want anyone to die, but I'm responsible for my wife first and foremost. Or kids, or whatever. You get the picture.

His men really didn't love and respect him. That's a lefty myth. He was/is every bit the cuck political general that was any general appointed to his position since Ike.
You sure about that? I mean of all the candidates that were initially picked for Trump's cabinet, even leftists knew Mattis was a no nonsense general.

Makes you wonder how much and what kind of dirt they have on him.
Dude was pro MAGA and then, out of the blue, he walks away and starts this globalist babble nonsense.

This wasn't out of the blue, and I don't know that the guy was ever all in on Trump, he just saw it as a good gig and a way he could use his experience and hopefully serve his country. I thought he was a good pick despite some of his questionable involvements on board(s?), but I also thought he'd reverse some of the social engineering BS in the military and he really didn't move the needle.
He's a "break glass if you need war" person, and hopefully we're not in a perpetual state of needing war.

Twitter is a shithole. I avoid it like the plague. It's stacked strongly toward the left.
Everyone on twitter controls who they follow. There are literally thousands of people who share your ideas and politics who you could follow.
You could get more useful information and ideas on Twitter than you can on here -- not even close.

You are niot seriously going to say twitter isn't biased as shite regarding shutting up conservatives?

Must be the ones I follow are not the ones getting kicked off.

Bill Kristol, Anna Navarro, SE Cupp and David French don’t count Tex.

I believe in *Globalism*, if in that term Mattis et al speak to a imagined, unifying Idea (Ideology) which holds power to persuaded and unify Humanity. But until such a Ideology is offered, and Humanity agrees and commits...Mattis is just doing the Obama thing...Idealist platitudes.
Cities run with Marxist Egalitarian Ideology are crashing by the day, once beautiful places now with feces in the streets and gangs wreaking havoc in their territory. Does Mattis have a plan that counter to that which those whose plans have failed miserably, and who he now serves?
Good intentions won't cut it. I'm all in on Global unity...but I need to hear the Ideas, and see the results. Mattis has sat on his hands and kept his mouth shut and enabled a PRESIDENTIAL COUP to take place...and he damn well knows it. Let him stand up and say it isn't so, and show the metal he plans to gain trust and unify the Earth with.
They all ignore the elephant in the room...and damn their souls. Disgusting.

I like this quote:
quote:
Beneath its Prussian exterior of short haircuts, crisp uniforms and exacting standards, the Corps nurtured some of the strangest mavericks and most original thinkers I encountered in my journey through multiple commands and dozens of countries. The Marines’ military excellence does not suffocate intellectual freedom or substitute regimented dogma for imaginative solutions. They know their doctrine, often derived from lessons learned in combat and written in blood, but refuse to let that turn into dogma.
