Nope. But they will outlaw the manufacture and selling of ceiling fans that 1) actually move a lot of air, and 2) last for years. What we will be left with will be shite.

This proposal really will not affect small businesses in the US. All of the fans at Lowes and Home Depot are made in china.

All to save $40 over the lifetime of the caeiling fan, according to the article. Hardly seems worth the effort. Ceiling fans last how long, 20 years? So, $2 a year in savings. Pointless.
