I don't think it's wise to act like we know a man's heart and if he was truly trying to repent from sin or if he was aware of the sins he was committing in the moment. I would hate to have my thoughts and actions broadcast on the news every day and be judged by that. As Christians we are supposed to be becoming more like Jesus as we grow in our relationship with Him. Not everyone is going to be at the same speed. Some can be like the hare and be super fast and stall at the end or like the tortoise and be slow the whole time. They both crossed the finish line at the end.

Carter loved the song. So much in fact, he was present as the same couple sang it at Rosalyns funeral.
What i can't "Imagine" is making your religious devotion such a hallmark of your persona and then allowing yourself to be memorialized with the words "Imagine there's no Heaven, no religion. It's easy if you try."

I never understood the popularity of Garth Brooks by the C&W crowd. At age 66, I've listened to a lot of old school country music over the years, Brooks is the epitome of New Country/Nashville Formulaic BS
I never liked Brooks' voice, didn't like most of his songs and his stage schtick got old real quick, won't even go into his Woke arse politics.
