He does actually get things done for BR, and he’s actually been really responsive whenever I have contacted his office. However, sometimes you have to just not be butthurt and do what’s right for the state.
We agree, but I’d prefer that my representative take care of us first, and after that he can get more into the political side of things.
Graves isn’t perfect, but he’s better than say a Richard Baker who left us for the bright lights.

IIRC, Baker bailed due to a combination of the GOP losing the House, meaning loss of chairmanship, and LA’s current landscape meaning that his specialty as being over banking wasn’t nearly as important to the state as it was before massive amounts of mergers move bank HQs from the state.

I think we need a change...he's gotten way too comfortable in his positioon. Probably stuffing his pockets and padding his bank accounts like 99% of the reeal politicians do.
The first thing a politician does when they win an election is to start focusing on getting re-elected. When term-limits get in their way, they set their sites on another position.
Just like Clay Schexnayder is doing in Louisiana.
Vote 'em all out!

Graves is an absolute a-hole. Self interest in only his own financial enrichment from office. The Clio Fields of the GOP.
Truth.
Scalise isn’t much different. Maybe not the a-hole. But he’s bought and paid for too.

Yes Gaetz is great theater. He’s really got the GOP headed in the right direction.
I realize you didn’t mean it to be but this is 100% true.

Would you rather have Gravy Chambers instead of Graves ?
Posted on 10/13/23 at 1:56 pm to LSUvet72
Rep. Gaetz chopped Graves' BS, corrupt arse down in the presence of the entire Senate.
Graves not only loss his buddy Mc Carthy but he couldn't sit down for a week from his butt kicking by Gaetz.
Need to shut this frickin' government down till the every a-hole in Congress does something about the southern border and the run away deficit ! !

Graves is your rep?

Say what you want about Graves, but a few years ago when i was working in the EBRP school system we held an advocacy event at a school in the worst area of north BR. We invited all the local politicians and community organizer types, and the only one to show up was Graves. I always respected him for that.

Graves isn't your friend. He simply knows he has to be a Republican in order to survive long-term in Louisiana.

Are there any young Republican hopefuls in BR who look like they may have a future? We need to draft someone to kick Graves to the fricking curb.

Yep. Literally not qualified to teach first grade (no college degree) but yet is a member of congress, unbelievable.
