You can tell the press was slack jawed dealing with a Republican who was articulate, well prepared for each question and had a set of balls.
Even the ones who hate his politics know he’s right about the waste and impact of lobbying on these last minute spending free for alls that no one even looks at on the way to happy hour.
He owned that from start to finish, I’m massively impressed with what I just saw.

Gaetz wants to jettison McCarthy which is fine but then he says he would support Scalise.....I think Scalise is every bit a member in good standing with the DC Uniparty

Scalise has not broken a deal like McCarthy has. That’s Gaetz point

Scalise is uniparty blowhard and a Mccarthy butt boy. Not sure why Gaetz has his back.

I think it's more about moving on the next guy and giving him the opportunity to hold up to his end of the bargain...McCarthy sure as hell didn't, even after getting plenty of time to uphold his end of the agreement.

That was awesome. Refreshing to see a politician who is actually principled and has the backbone to stand on his convictions.
And how about all the straight answers back to back to pesky reporters. Dude is sharp.
Sharp as a frickin' straight razor and he gave all of them a chance to ask questions and didn't back down from any of them.

It's about Gaetz getting attention for himself.
All this stunt does is take attention away from Bowman

The last 30 seconds of that video says it all. Congress is overrun by fricking morons like AOC who have no basic understanding of economics and how spending should work. All they understand muh fairness.
And AOC allegedly has a degree in economics.....

Total retard.
Care to address the multiple proven breaches by McCarthy of the agreement that allowed him to become Speaker?

I'm not a fan of McCarthy, but this stunt won't remove him.
Gaetz gets attention and he's already fundraising off of it

Gaetz and his crew wanted shutdown for their own selfie moment to show that they control the speaker. They should be marginalized as they do not care about America and want nothing but destruction of the country.
Posted on 10/2/23 at 9:39 pm to TBoy
The few members fighting for fiscal responsibility want to destroy the country??!
What an astronomically bad take Low-T

A dodge as expected.
McCarthy is a liar in absolute breach of his agreement.
You think he shouldn't be held accountable.
Gaetz is fundraising, oh the horror.
McCarthy is among the biggest fundraising whores in DC and that's saying something. 24/7, it's all McCarthy does. He makes Gaetz looks like the Virgin Mary.

But without even considering who’s who or who supports who or anything else, a purely pragmatic view of the situation may well conclude that the move will actually lead to even less fiscal responsibility, if or when Democrats capitalize on the deepening of Republican division.
