This wasn't a discussion, it was her just saying vile things to him.

My daughter, also an FSU graduate thought she was being brave when she lamented about her own “white privilege”. It ended when I offered to hand her a bill for 19 years of private school and college tuition and to write her out of our will.

The exact same thing happened to me with my daughter. We moved to Mississippi for over a decade, so she ended going to Ole Miss on a full ride academic scholarship. She always had very Conservative values and was an Overt Christian, and even traveled with her friends to New York and Chicago her first two years to spread Gods word to homeless and people of little faith. Then comes a “Therapist “, unbeknownst to me, and within a year, myself and my family were all considered dumb conservative hicks. Her mother and I had divorced when she was 18, but she stopped talking to me and my family, who worshipped her and financially helped support her in College when she hit 20. Her friend group at OM were all “woke” liberals and she stopped believing in God. I was paying for her car, car insurance, health insurance, cell phone, and giving her a $500 dollar “allowance “ every month, while my parents kicked in $2500 per semester from a College fund they had established when she was little. I continued to reach out and text her and she ignored me and my family. I finally cut her off from everything during her 21st year. I was so sad, even though I wanted to be angry. She told her mom that I was not invited to her College graduation, which killed me. Still no contact. She started grad school and decided she was going to accept a position in Colorado because she no longer wanted to be in the “hillbilly South “ She finally told her mom that’s we could come to her graduation for her Masters degree. She went to Colorado and moved back to Mississippi within 6 months due to being home sick. We graduated from texting every now and then to talking occasionally and I would drive up and take her to dinner every few months. I made sure not to press, and simply text her that I was thinking of about her and loved her every couple of weeks. This Christmas she shocked us by telling me that she was coming in to see us on Christmas Day. She even brought gifts, and we had an amazing time. Yes, she’s a Liberal still and hangs out with that same friend group from OM, but to me that doesn’t matter, because I have my daughter back. I simply say all of this to say this. She’s your flesh and blood. Yes, she’s being selfish and horrible to you. She’s become a woke brat that thinks she can move to a liberal town and hurt you by her actions. It’s easy to be angry. It’s very difficult to continue to show love. I had anger, and resentment in my heart for years and it was killing me inside. I decided to give it to God and show her love instead. Regardless of any response. I didn’t receive a response for years and I continued, every 2 or 3 weeks. I lived my life, and enjoyed the Blessings that I had. She’s your daughter. And being angry, resentful and cutting her off from your life will feel good for a short period of time. Then sadness will creep in. Maybe try the opposite? Live your life and continue to remind her that you love her and are there for her. When she eventually comes down from her independent high, she’s going to experience pain and loneliness at some point in her life. Be there for her. Living with anger and pride is unhealthy. She’s your daughter. If you were on your deathbed, are you going to relish the grudge you kept against her, due to pride? She’s being a spoiled brat, and is surrounded by spoiled brats, who are all being selfish and feeding off of one another. Show her love and live your life. She’ll come back to you one day, when she “grows up a little “. I’m sorry if it sounds like I’m judging you, because I’m not. I’m just hoping that my pain can save you a little pain. There’s ALOT of this going on in our society, believe it or not. Good luck

"I hate that I have a supportive family!"
Such an odd take. Hate the families that don't set their children up for success, don't hate the successful families.

Mine went to Ole Miss and the same thing happened.

Not sure we have the same definition of "funny" This is tragic. And sad. You have one life. And you and your daughter will both regret this. I would try to fix this.
You can’t fix it until she is ready. Right now she isn’t ready. She might never be ready but it’s a decision she needs to make.

I’m going to guess the guy calling it a funny story probably said a few things along the way

Based on what?
Based on the idea that one should always evaluate his own part of a disagreement. This is not controversial unless you are narrative-fitting.

He’s the parent, and immature 20-something’s say stupid, regrettable things all the time.
This parent made the decision to punish and control with money. Something they were willing to provide before letting politics ruin the relationship.
There was an opportunity to be loving and mature. The way a parent should behave.

Test your theory on me. Stop posting and see if that affects my ability to keep replying to you.

The majority of the people doing it are liberals. The mental illness is strong at least looking at stats on psychiatric medication usage of liberal women.

I have a sister who has gone from centrist to leftist over the past few years, she brings up politics in our family text incessantly. Its not always possible to avoid politics at a family dinner table when someone insists on bringing it up
Liberalism is a mental disease trying to normalize therapy, gender dysphoria, anti children. Look up the studies on happiness/satisfaction. Conservatives are much happier people. For women, conservatives are 3x more likely to say they are fully satisfied or very satisfied with their life
People need god and country in their life. Instead they get social media where its constant keeping up with the jones, no wonder so many are miserable

She will run back to Tallahassee to crash on couches of friends. She'll get a job bartending or waitressing, and tell everyone about her great time working in Boston.
She'll sell her car and begin taking the bus
She'll get some shite job for the Florida Democratic party in Tallahassee

I ASKED you on what basis you're making your claims about comments regarding minorities, and you've offered nothing but your own fanfic.

Of course I offered nothing to that ridiculous question; I never made any claims. You made that up.

That’s what you quoted. Do you think that is a “claim”? It is not. Note the question: “Are you…?” Note the conditional: “If so…”

Don't spin this, I asked you WHY you asked this random question.
It's leading. You're ASSUMING that's the case, and want to be justified. The only reason you'd ask this is if you have predetermined it in your head.
And you can't even see it.
