Funny how you claimed I didn't want to discuss it then ignored any posts where

you continued to play semantics with "fuel costs". The study has 5 Key Points broken out summarized and "fuel cost" isn't even discussed.

Funny how I asked a question about the subsidies twice now and you've ignored it both times while simultaneously trying to argue that I didn't want to discuss the subsidies.

Fuel costs and the discussion around it is littered across the entire study, whether it not the word "fuel" is listed in bold font on the 5 key points.

"In this paper, we show that the average model year (MY) 2021 EV would cost $48,698 more to own over a 10-year period without $22 billion in government favors given to EV manufacturers and owners."

Why do you think that a subsidy related to EV Supply Chain should be categorized as a "cost to fuel an electric vehicle?"

she will be in another thread soon, stomping her feet, demanding that tax cuts are a "cost".

You ladies sure are getting pissy about me calling out "facts" and direct quotes from the article and study that are not actually facts.

I've charged 4,628 kWh in the last 12 months.

90% at home, 10% superchargers.

$675 home charging, $160 supercharger charging

Total was $835.

Gas equivalent of that would be $1,937 spent, for a savings of $1,102 estimate in the past 12 months.

What's your cost for electricity per KWH?

It doesn't matter if the energy efficiency and costs of EVs is extremely poor when compared to traditional forms of transportation it's all about having the means to afford the hip "green" alternative to carbon based transportation....what a dupe.

So? The cheapest EV is the size of a golf cart and the price of the average mid size. He didn’t say they were unattainable, just that they are on average more expensive and people are buying them to virtue signal. He’s 100% right.

They aren't. That's down the list of reason why people buy them. #1 reason being they're good commuter cars.

Subsidies? Tax credits are awesome and generate more wealth via economic multipliers. Right, Republicans?

Right?

My wife’s is in the body shop right now. It’s a little high but certainly not mind blowing.

It’s ok to not want to believe it. That doesn’t change that it’s correct.
