That first picture is why I get frustrated when people act like we're "falling behind" from a military perspective. Between our carrier capacity and our nuclear arsenal, the concept itself is absurd.

It’s hard enough to land a jet on the deck of a Nimitz or Ford class carrier at night in rough seas... could you imagine trying it on that UK carrier??

those charts are just unbelievable, has there ever been a nation/empire in history that is more capable of world or at least large scale control of a vast part it as the US that hasn`t pursued that course of action and pretty much seized whatever it wants?

I think the Brits use them Harrier jets on those carriers. Not sure though
