Buddy, Marianne is about as tankie as it gets in European politics. They didn't get shite for a source from the French military.
If Liberation and Le Monde and all the rest aren't reporting this, you can likely take it as bullshite. The only other source I see that is reporting this is RT.

My Uncle Louie went through hell over there. For a long time with little r&r. He'd speak of it quietly sometimes, by the fire while the dogs were trailing a squirrel. He could shoot very well. I miss all those old guys, they were gold.
