This is the newly appointed senator from Georgia that Doug Collins wants to run against her, but the establishment are against him challenging her.

quote:

According to the report, she sold stock in Resideo Technologies "worth between $50,001 and $100,000," whose stock price "has fallen by more than half" since January. In addition, 27 out of 29 transactions in February by her and her husband were sales. One stock purchase was in a company called Citrix, a teleworking software company, and was worth between $100,000 and $250,000. The company's stock, as The Daily Beast noted, had seen a bump since the virus outbreak grew.

Pretty sure it’s legal for congress to do insider trading

The politicians that will throw her under the bus do the same exact things.

Sadly you are correct. One of many laws for the “little people” congress exempts themselves from.

They all do it. Wish they would do something but no one will.

Just out of curiosity I checked the Dow for Jan 27 and found this on CNBC
quote:

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is set to sink more than 400 points at Wall Street's open on Monday. U.S. stock futures were under severe pressure, following stock markets around the world lower, as China's coronavirus outbreak widens. On Friday, stocks had their worst day of 2020, which had gotten off to a roaring start after last year's near 29% gain for the S&P 500, the best annual performance for the index since 2013. Heading into Monday's trading, the Dow was on a four-session losing streak. Perceived safer investments such as bonds and gold were higher. Bond prices move inversely to yields, which were lower.

So there were market concerns at that time that were obviously discussed publicly. Nothing will likely happen. She also isn’t likely to keep her seat, even before this news was made public, imo.

I never want to give any politician a break, but this is stupid to melt over. I sold a bunch of stock in early February too. It’s not like the alarm bells weren’t already ringing.

Such bullshite. If they are "allowed" insider trading, that money should be taxed at an 85-95% rate (for them and family/friends) and they must disclose it publicly. If it isn't disclosed, 100% of it is put into the treasury and they are immediately kicked out of whatever position they hold.

It is either that or all trading by politicians and bureaucrats that set business regulations should be illegal and susceptible to asset seisure.

This bullshite has got to stop!

Ha, imagine that. My company uses Citrix for people to login to their work computer from their home computer. I’m sure they are making bank right now.

Actually it’s trading a few bucks lower than it was in late jan lol. It was a good idea though. Zoom is doing great.

Congressmen who do this are the worst kind of swindlers. They swindled those who bought their shares .

She should go to jail but she wont. The only thing that will happen to her is that she'll lose to Doug Collins but that's a good thing for the rest of us. Loeffler is a phony and a crook.

All investments should be put into a blind trust while holding office. They’ve proven they can’t be trusted.

The STOCK Act was law for about a year until they silently fast tracked the repeal portions through and Obama signed it.

The senator has tweeted.

quote:

This is a ridiculous and baseless attack. I do not make investment decisions for my portfolio. Investment decisions are made by multiple third-party advisors without my or my husband's knowledge or involvement.

quote:

As confirmed in the periodic transaction report to Senate Ethics, I was informed of these purchases and sales on February 16, 2020 — three weeks after they were made.

Perhaps there was a little overreaction here.

If they’re in a blind trust, good.

She still shouldn’t be on a committee overseeing markets that her husband runs.
