If they applied that enterprise equally it might be acceptable, although there wouldn't be much substance to any show featuring politicians speaking. It would simply be the "Fact Check Show". Instead, they are very selective in doing it to Trump most often. Correcting him based on the context in which they deem appropriate. So then it turns into a concentrated effort against Trump exclusively. Not too enlightening.

Cavuto mentioned the employment rate after the finanical crisis but he never mentioned the anemic economic growth of an Obama economy poised for a booming recovery. Doesn't matter whether Trump was incorrect or not. You don't interrupt the POTUS to fact check him. You wait until he's finished and do it in the postmortem.
