Sean Hannity, a host on the conservative cable network Fox News, ranted about Stephanopoulos setting up the president and predicted the confession would spark “another round of fake, phony, moral selective outrage.”

I love how the Fox news entertainers blame Stephanopoulos for Trump's response. We now live in a world where asking a direct question is a "set up."

quote:

Fellow primetime Fox News host Laura Ingraham demanded to know who in the Trump administration had approved the interview. Trump being “put in that situation is beyond me.

Yeah, why would you leave a 5 year old alone with Stephanopoulos. He's the President of the United States for frick's sake. Basically Laura wanted to know how one of Trump's handlers allowed him to do an interview that wasn't on State News TV (Fox).

I still don't get the issue here.

Getting opposition info from somebody anywhere on the planet and using it in a campaign

and

Getting opposition info from somebody anywhere on the planet and using it to obtain warrants for surveillance and investigation

are two different fricking ball games.

What did he admit to?

Surely if he “admitted” to doing something wrong then you have him this time right?

Inviting Steponallofus to the White House for an interview is similar to inviting the head of the DNC to do the same. He is not even slightly objective. He friggin' ran Bill Clinton's first campaign.

Trump has his reasons, but I am not sure he made a good choice here.

Would you recommend that Beto or Bernie invite Tucker Carlson in for an interview? They won't.

Yeah those are some pathetic comments but Trump knew exactly what he was doing when he said it.

Don't run away man...

Even the FEC Chair had to jump into the fray. I mean you can't make this shite up!

"Let me make something 100% clear to the American public and anyone running for public office," Weintraub wrote. "It is illegal for any person to solicit, accept, or receive anything of value from a foreign national in connection with a U.S. election. This is not a novel concept."

Friggin people paid for foreign oppo!

My issue is not as much with what Trump said versus the lengths Fox News hosts have to go to defend him by attacking something completely unrelated and nonsensical. They literally baby Trump at every point. It's ridiculous.

Apparently it is a novel concept for the Dems.

You must not watch Fox very much. Shepard Smith is as anti-Trump as anyone on MSNBC and they have a few others. If anyone defends Trump on CNN or MSNBC they never go on there again. Must suck to live in a bubble.

Wait... what’s he referring to here?

Sounds like he’s talking about campaign contributions. This has nothing to do with talking to a foreigner who’s offering info about a rival candidate.

From Russia no less! The OP probably spent the last 3 years baitin to Maddow talking Trump-Russia impeachment knowing damn well that they got false information from foreign actors.

A novel concept would be some news source that wasn’t so frickin biased you could bare to listen. I’m still waiting on someone other than fox to compliment the President on anything. The point fox hosts are making....he gave access to what they view as a sworn enemy. Nothing good was to come of it.

Because of this interview, Kamala Harris also said that she would have no problem sending a former president to prison if any investigation proved crimes were committed. She never said which President. I wonder if it is proven Obama is guilty after Durham finishes his investigation, does that offer still stand?

That’s fair.

That’s not how I would characterize it. Defend =/= “Baby him”

Of course he'd want to listen. Trump gets mostly disinformation and resistance from U.S Intel.

Oh yeah, and that attempted coup thing.

Hannity is a dumbass. All they need to do is show the clip and point out that Trump said "If it sounds bad I guess one would contact the FBI."

It's a huge nothingburger that the leftists are trying to make into something it's not.

Likely, just as Trump planned.
