The incumbent Senator is the classic lazy, out of touch, candidate. Blows off events, doesn’t show up back home much, doesn’t do town halls. Friends working in the Senate flat out call him lazy. They resent having to go bail him out because if he just took care of business and had a work ethic, it would be no contest.
