Not that much out there on this right now.

--------------------------------------------------------

He pleaded guilty as part of a deal approved by the victim he stabbed multiple times during a 2023 road-rage incident on the Howard Frankland Bridge. The sentence also includes 5 years probation and $100,000 restitution.

It’s a weird case.

The driver he had the altercation with was passed out and then hit two cars. The attorney broke his window after the person who was passed out struck his car.

He tried to invoke a SYG defense. Maybe not the smartest thing ever done. But I’m not sure it’s as much of a case of road rage as someone who was having a medical or psych emergency who looked like they were a danger.

Met a lot of prosecutors with God complexes. Kind of like how cops can get.

The guy who was "passed out and then hit two cars" was the VICTIM of the stabbing.

It really is. If someone steps in front of you in a crowd or passes you up in a store aisle you either don't notice it or blow it off. But when you are in your car, you feel the need to floor it and follow the person across town at high speed hurling insults. And I have been guilty of mild cases of it in the past. It really is illogical.

Wait, you can't stab someone who hits your car?

If they’re still trying to ram your car, you would have a stronger case.

There are times when I will react when people are driving insane and dangerously, or super aggressively that puts me in danger. But I don't want to go kill them or anything. It's just your typical cortisol increase.

I will hope that certain drivers do flip and crash without hitting anyone else but I wouldn't ever facilitate that. Dudes in big trucks who drive like they're in S4s deserve punishment (without inflicting any on others)
